    2016 Laramie Help

I would suggest taking it to a diesel mechanic or trying to figure out If in fact you are losing fuel pressure first. If fuel pressure is ok, I would check compression

    New to eco diesel

Welcome! It’s only a mistake if you think of it as one. If you maintain the engine properly, change your fuel filter with your oil change, drive the truck on long trips(stop and go is terrible for these), and for the love of god look into a tune to allow for the egr to stop functioning, then the...

    2018 Ram Ecodiesel Laramie 4x4

Welcome! Just keep an eye on your coolant level, that will indicate if you start to have egr issues. Many people run different additives, it’s really just personal preference in my opinion.

What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

As far as I know, gde does not remove egr functionality but they do or will offer a touch screen tuner for storing tune on file and reverting back. Speaking of which I need to see if Jimmy at SKT can put my engine and trans tunes on one handheld now!

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

Thanks tc. My local dealer told me flat out that the techs are about 5-10 years behind on the technology and gadget troubleshooting. Basically they release new stuff every year on these vehicles and the techs don’t have time for training so they learn on the fly. If it’s acting up they replace...

Hitch Load Limit 2018 Ram 1500 ED Laramie

If you don’t have air ride I would definitely invest in some bags. I did the 1000hd in mine and I pull my 7x12 enclosed pretty much daily and it made a world of difference. I won’t pull a trailer without air in them now lol

Crankshaft positioning sensor and Tone Ring Failure on Eco diesel.

@TC Diesel so since I have not had the aem flash, no fix for tone wheel? Doesn’t matter to me I purchased and installed the fix for tailgate. Every time my truck leaves my hands it comes back with an issue or the cel would come on so it’s just easier to do my own thing. If anyone can dig up a...

Sofa King Tuned Engine and Transmission Tune COMBO ONLY $720

Honestly? Close to the same as 1, little more pep, turbo noise is a little more, with less worry of codes in the future. Leave the muffler and it’s around factory sounding.

Sofa King Tuned Engine and Transmission Tune COMBO ONLY $720

I second deleting at occurrence of exhaust issues. I ran stage one for 12-15k. Had an emissions code from truck sitting for nearly 6 months. Deleted code twice and it continued to reoccur so I was able to remove the dpf and scr and click stage two and be done. Glad I purchased both stages as a...

Right on! My dad had a grand caravan that would intermittently act stupid and blow slowly or full speed. He replaced that resistor and it fixed it.

The Cheap EGR Delete kits on EBay

I went with SKT but that was who offered the touch screen tuner at the time so I could easily store and switch tunes as needed

The Cheap EGR Delete kits on EBay

FYI, I chose to buy both stage 1 and 2 tunes. Once you have them, and don’t conform to recall flashes at the dealer, they’re good forever. Thinking was, run stage one till I had dpf, scr problems, once those occurred I switched to stage 2.

So, to remove any part of the egr, you’ll need a tune. There’s two stages of tuning, stage 1 turns off the egr and allows for its removal, a stage 2 tune requires full exhaust removal and turns off the egr and allows for its removal and is considered “off road only”

The Cheap EGR Delete kits on EBay

Stage 1 egr delete is the removal of the diffuser tube( from egr to intake) stage 2 is physically removing egr, installing block off plates on intake and exhaust, and installing a coupling in the coolant hose to complete the loop that used to go through the egr.

    Heater blower motor

Some of the older mopar vehicles used a resister in the duct on variable speed blowers, maybe start there?

Used one to delete egr tube. Never got around to using the rest of the kit yet lol works fine for that aspect of it but I haven’t found time to completely remove the egr.
