Pedal commander only tricks the truck into thinking your riding the pedal harder from what I could gather from reviews, truck is a ticking time bomb if your egr is still operational. Gdes old tunes used to stop the egr from functioning, pretty sure their new lineup doesn’t. I’ve had sofaking for...
I have 143k on my 2014. Egr and intake done at 109k. Previous owner records from dealer shows it spent a hefty amount of time in the dealers parking lot for repairs. Bought mine at 113k, since August 2018 I have put a #4 glow plug in(500$ after it broke off), deleted at 133k (1000$ Tuner and...
All you need is an 8mm deep well socket and an extension. The worst part is if and when it breaks off. Find a guy that works on heavy equipment diesels. These dealers and a few of my local shops call themselves diesel mechanics but few of them will actually do what it takes to fix something, not...
10K UPDATE:
Truck is doing awesome! Averaging around 20mpg still with my 35’s. Speedometer is around 3 mph off at 60mph so once I get out of my cheesy third party warranty, I’ll recalibrate speedometer and fully delete.
I only have egr blanked off and unplugged, I have noticed the truck...
My guess would be gde or something similar. You could drive it and if it throws up a Regen screen it could be gde. If not it could be either gde or sofakingtuned. I suppose you could contact either green diesel engineering or sofaking and see if they have the trucks vin in either of their files.
Correct. I’m sorry if I misconceived what I said. That is why I mentioned If the dealer flashes your truck back to the vin you would need to redo your Changes in Alfa
When the dealer hooks up witech it will revert the truck back to all the factory options based off the vin number. If I go, for instance, and they reflash the truck to the vin, I will have to return to Alfa and reenable my trailer brake control module, and my fog lights with high beams will need...
I’m not sure if you can do anything that would void the warranty, unless you tried to fiddle with the coding on the injectors. Anything you do can be reverted if you write down the changes you have made on a notebook including the module you were under and the line number code you went to
You’d need to reset tcm( trans control module) wonder if new fluids is making trans go haywire. Pay attention next time you take off, give it a light foot and listen to see if it’s shifting too soon and making motor lug. Mine did it bad when pulling trailer
I have a 2” rough country leveling kit, 1.5” zone lift body kit, and I run 35’s with just a tick of rub with the spacers. I trimmed the inner fender a tick where the seam weld is behind the plastic when my tires scuffed the plastic for the fender liner.
I used my sofaking tuner handheld device to reset the values. I haven’t had the code since I reset the values the second time. AlfaOBD should allow for reset also. I believe when I went from factory tires to 35” tires it threw my shift points off and allowed the engine to shift into second way...
I doubt the front hubs mount the same way, but if they do you’d still be posed with the rear axle which would require a swap, which is a whole nother can of worms. I’d buy the spacer conversion and be done with it. They rub the body a little, just fyi. I am running 1.5” spacers on mine for the...
Well Nissan isn’t offering the cummins anymore. I just talked to a guy who has one and he said it’s been great but only does highway and had 25k on it. I’d buy another one, but It would be getting a tune of some sort. Shoot worse case I’ll quit doing Hvac and get into the tuning world lol
I did the 1000hd to maintain factory ride. Took 2-3 hours. Most of that was taking fender liner out to get stem into fuel door. Been in for a year no problems to report
