    Pittsburgh Power's Max Mileage

I have the GDE EPA Compliant Tune. I paid for the regen message option, which is both a blessing and a curse. I see now it going into regen mode once per week whereas I used to see it only a few times during the winter. jarhead, what happens when you switch the truck back to the stock tune?

    SCR Plugged

Carbon in the intake can be a problem, but typically you're good for 100,000 miles or so. As long as I'm under the AEM warranty, I'm not going to worry about it. Once my AEM warranty expires, then I will remove the intake, replace the coolant hose that is under the intake, and install a new...

    SCR Plugged

Do you mean 'without' pulling it? If so, BG has a cleaner that is used while the engine is running. Some dealerships offer the service.

    SCR Plugged

That makes me wonder if someone didn't gut out the DPF filter. Ash should remain in the DPF.

    Alternator not charging battery

That's good to know about the sensitivity. I'll for sure use auxiliary switches or a power distribution box. It's good thing we have you around, TC Diesel.

Does our changing system adjust charge rate based on temperature or does it charge at a flat rate? @TC Diesel

    Ecodiesel locks up

It looks like the price has gone up again. It started out at $6,400 (before COVID) and has slowly increased to $7,895. This comes with a new turbo, new injectors, new CP4 pump, and free shipping! https://moparpowertrain.com/product/5158048af-3-0l-eco-diesel-complete-running-engine/

    Ecodiesel locks up

Wadem, you can buy a brand new diesel engine for $7,500 and have a good mechanic install it for an estimated $1,600. The new engine will come with a 3 year/100,000 mile warranty. This is the route I would go in. Your experience is exactly why I don't buy used trucks. Many people don't take...

    SCR Plugged

I've never heard of the SCR in the EcoDiesel having problems of this nature. Something isn't right. I would take it to another dealer for a second diagnoses.

    Electronic throttle control

I would take it to your dealer for a diagnoses. Many things can trigger the "electronic throttle control" light. I've only had that happen once. According to the dealer, the MAP sensor needed to be replaced. It was repaired under warranty. I now change or clean my MAP sensor once every...

    Oil change

It really depends on your driving habits and the type of fuel you run. I change mine at 6 months or 5,000 miles, whichever comes first. I do a lot of towing and short commutes, so I error on the side of caution. Plus, I run biodiesel in my truck, which requires shortened oil change intervals...

    Road trip

Sounds like the EcoDiesel treated you well. I live in rural New Mexico and have traveled from coast to coast with our 2015 Ram EcoDiesel and through 10 states with our 2020 EcoDiesel. Both trucks are awesome.

    Timber Grove enterprises

John, do you have any pictures of your Air Lift Compressor install? I just installed Timber Grove Air Springs on my truck with the standard fill line. While this works quite well, I think it would be nice to be able to make adjustments on the fly.

For reference, here's what the iDash DataMonster will monitor. What data points does the iDash monitor that you wished your MX+ monitored? http://docs.bankspower.com/bids/files/PID_2015_Ram_1500_Laramie_Longhorn_3_DOT_0L_V_112_E.html

Well, to be more specific, it will be in the Naperville area. We're visiting my wife's grandmother. I hope that Lou Malnati's Pizza makes up for it. ;)

We've done several thousand miles of towing. I've got a few soft codes that I need to chase down, but so far, the check engine light hasn't come on. I've towed through New Mexico, Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah. We're about to tow the RV through the panhandle of Texas, panhandle of...
