What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

The shop that did mine was able to e mail the tune same day and upload it to my ECM. Parts were readily available locally. I too and Leary of reprogramming an ECM, especially on my daily driver.

What's the best ecodiesel tune today for "EGR shutoff" but keeping equipment installed?

Engine Failure - Warranty Claim - DENIED

I consider myself fortunate, I have 176589 on my 2016, no issues except my tone ring failing, which is a recall item but does not include my exact VIN , but it happens to the 16 eco. 2000 dollar replacement as the trans has to come out. FCA would not cover this repair despite most other 16s...

Engine Failure - Warranty Claim - DENIED

I did the delete just recently at 176k miles, night and day, better mileage, cooler running temps, no def, I wish I had done it years ago.

    Full Delete and smoke

I'm not exactly what tune the shop put on mine, I did have the GDE 2.0 tune prior to the delete, which was great.

    Full Delete and smoke

I've done the full delete, no smoke, nothing.. I kinda was hoping for a little, but zero. I notice the faint smell of Diesel fuel outside of the vehicle from the exhaust, and I can hear the turbo spinning within the exhaust. I wish I had done the delete sooner. No turbo lag, more power (40...

    Low oil pressure

5 lbs at idle? That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen, I’m sure you are aware of the rod knock problem due to low oil pressure. I replaced my oil cooler/filter housing due to a leak in that plastic piece you mentioned. Part was readily available though. I’ve heard debris clogging the oil...

Muffler delete 2020 Ram 1500 ECODIESEL

I have done the EGR delete with muffler delete also, it does sound more like a diesel, not obnoxious, no black smoke, you do hear the turbo spinning amongst the sounds. Also you smell a little diesel fumes/fuel occasionally. I picked up about 4 mpg, and 40hp in the process. No more DEF, runs...

What to do when no Oil is Available

Mobil 1? Is that suitable for high temp diesels?

What to do when no Oil is Available

True! I’m in central texas with near 100 degree days, the viscosity stays thin, I wouldn’t do it during the colder time of the year, and I only did it when I absolutely had to. I think I would rather wait and keep running past 10k miles if that was my only choice and it was cold.

What to do when no Oil is Available

I have used the 15w-40 when I couldn’t find the 5w-40, I’ve had no ill effects, always Rotella T6 though.
