    2019 High mile success stories

I have a 2016 4x4 Lone Star with 200150 on it, had the transmission rebuilt at about 160k, I had it deleted and tuned at about 175k along with a turbo replacement, runs cooler, no def, picked up 40 hp, and no turbo lag. I’ve meticulously maintained it with T6 oil changes at 9000 miles. I’ve...

Coolant Leak in Back of engine.

I paid 1200 to have mine replaced.

    FCA Engine Replacement

I’m still waiting on reimbursement from 3 years ago for tone wheel replacement,

    Crank tone wheel

You’re vin has to fall within a range (to be covered) that they dictate, mine didn’t, I really don’t think anyone’s does, it’s a hoax.

    Crank tone wheel

That would be an amazing kit if it existed, I paid 2500 to replace mine At the dealership despite there being a recall on it. Trans, transfer case etc removed.

    Full Delete and smoke

I didn’t, the shop I used provided parts.

Engine Failure - Warranty Claim - DENIED

Stellantis has given up completely on ED owners.

Engine Failure - Warranty Claim - DENIED

Stellantis has given up on ED owners completely. I’ve been denied claims too, they simply dont care. I’ve appealed to no avail. You’re screwed. Although 28k is insane for a replacement. You can get it done for less than 10k. Buy the engine yourself and find a diesel garage that will do it. A...

    Full Delete and smoke

Very little smoke with my tune also, prior to my egr delete tune I also had a GDE tune, no smoke either. At night in the headlights of other cars I can see a little smoke.

    Oil pressure

OUTSTANDING! Glad to know it! This really raises my optimism for the truck, all you see is how so many engines give up under 100k!

    Oil pressure

I think I'm one of the few with nearly 200K on mine, running perfectly at this point.....Better than new with the delete and a tune on it. Although I just had to have the transmission rebuilt, and replaced a noisy Turbocharger.

    Oil pressure

I wish you all the best. I had a tone wheel failure that was a recall for my year and model Eco, but somehow my vin didn’t fall in the parameters of the recall. $2100 out of pocket, I’m actually a ram fan, I’ve owned 7 rams since 1995,

    Oil pressure

I’ve heard of FCA denying claims for being a few miles over the recommended intervals also. They have given up on us… Eco Dieselers. please let us know if you actually get a new motor.

    Oil pressure

The dealership will deny your claim, they will claim it wasn’t T6 oil and anything other than that voids the warranty. Did Firestone use Rotella T6? Can you still get an oil sample for analysis ?

    Shady Dealership/DEF contaminated with water?

The dealerships have given up on the eco diesel and they wish it would go away. You can do an EGR dryer for a lot less than the 4500, and be done with Derf and regen nonsense filters etc.. and pick up 40 horses and drop the engine temp 15 degrees. Never go to the steamer ship again. I don’t...

2020 Ram Eco Diesel Engine Failure

My tone ring failed, it was also a recall, but my vin didn’t fall in the range of numbers either, despite that the failure was for my exact year and issue. FCA is simply avoiding responsibility for this. 30k is ridiculous for a motor swap. I did the delete and tune also, 5000 miles ago, not an...

    Crankshaft position sensor (tone wheel)

Yes I did file a complaint, 2 years ago when it happened, I e applied to FCA 3 times for reimbursement also.

    Crankshaft position sensor (tone wheel)

Mine too, we are screwed! Class action lawsuit is going to be needed. I paid 2000, 4x4.

Coolant Leak in Back of engine.

This was mine, how confident are you with the hose clamp, hose, repair? Vs a new pressed line. For all that work, why not use a new one?

Coolant Leak in Back of engine.

Wasn't a kit, it was a small diesel shop, they do it "off the books" or face EPA fines. There are a lot of places like this around, if you ask a diesel shop its likely they do them on the side. Block off plate and new exhaust to replace the big catalytic converters, and a new tune, again I don't...
