Being tuned I find it necessary to monitor the exhaust gas temps (EGT1). The luxury is monitoring active regens (on or off), % soot, passive regens (EGT3), EGR position, battery voltage, and other items that are merely interesting such as trip miles, MAP psi, VGT position, etc.
I monitor the EGR position on my edge CST3. It's always "0" or off. A few times it will show "1" when I start up but quickly goes to 0. I'm more than satisfied that the SFT tune shuts the EGR off.
Another member asked me why?
His truck is SFT tuned, so before getting the AEM recall he returned his tune to stock. After completing the recall he reinstalled his SFT Stage 1 tune. To test that the tune was in place he, like any tuned owner would do, checked to see if he could engage cruise...
The Eco is the easiest oil & filter change of any engine I've owned. The filter removal contributing 90% of easy. I don't see how you could damage anything removing the filter as you simply lift it up and out of the case. Loosen the cap to let it drain and you won't spill a drop.

Removing all of that foam was one of the first things I did to my 2016 Eco.
For all the reasons TC said, especially the ability to see the engine at a glance and keeping it clean.
Back in 2016, the pundits came up with all kinds of ridiculous reasons why removing the foam was a bad thing to do...

Are you saying that when the tone wheel fails the sensor has also failed because it can no longer sense the tone wheel? That when a new tone wheel is installed the sensor would then work properly because it really wasn't broken,
Am I interpreting what you said correctly?
I understand that. My comments are about labor costs if the tone wheel fails and the sensor is ok.
There are two scenarios floating around the forums. I believe ironhead's scenario is correct but hoping for the other scenario that the tone wheel labor is covered regardless of the sensor...
You are correct about what the AEM warranty says. However, I've read on other forums where they claim that Ram Cares has said the tone wheel labor is covered. Maybe they (Ram Cares) were referring to the same situation that you note, "if the position sensor breaks", maybe not.
The whole...
They put both on one for me. So now I have a useless tranny touchscreen in a drawer.
I can't remember if there was a charge or not.
I also have a useless pre touchscreen device in the same drawer
