If you've had the AEM emissions recall, the tone wheel recall is W58. It flashes new software to allow your truck to keep running if the tone wheel fails. It does not repair anything.
If you did not get the AEM emissions recall the tone wheel recall is W68. It replaces your existing tone...
That's a good dealer. Everything they told you is correct. I'm told the part number did not change. It's the same part and the batch or batches that had the bad wheels was used up in 2019.
Here's what another forum poster reported for a tone wheel replacement by an independent shop.
Total costs were tone wheel $45.35, Transmission heater connections $53.40 x 2 (can't buy the o-rings alone, need the tubes), an4 qt ZF synthetic ATF ($115.80), and $589 in labor = $856.95. $3500...
Like Ironcity said, the Eco is the easiest oil change of any vehicle I have owned, and I've owned several in my 86 years. There's a couple of things important, such as let it drain for a while as oil flow through the Eco is very slow.

Get the SFT tune/s. Comes with easy to use handheld tuner allowing you to change tunes. When you go to dealer or smog it just return it to the stock tune.
I'm not even sure you have to return it to stock for smogging.
Anyone know about this additive, Pittsburgh Power's Max Mileage, a fuel borne catalyst originally from "Better Diesel"? One of its claims is it will reduce soot. If so, I would use it in my Eco as it is a daily driver with a lot of 8-12 mile trips, a definite soot generator. It's tuned with...
Please, am i understanding the eco and cummins uses the same fuel pump?
Yes. I believe the higher pressures required of the 2019-20 Cummins is what's causing more failures on the Cummins. They changed back to the CP3 pump in the 2021 models.
Isn't it uncommon that one dealer would be awaiting...
I believe your 2019 has the CP4.2 or maybe the earlier the CP4 pump. They are known to fail, especially when poor grade (low lubricity) fuel is used or water in the fuel. The failure rate has been quite low in the Ecodiesels and higher in the Cummins. In fact, yours is the first one I've seen...
Bummer!
Have never seen an update about VB1 including 2017-18s. Thanks for clearing that up.
You are right, it's going to be a nightmare. You would think they would give you a provisional registration. What happens when you get cited for no current registration or sticker?
I'm confused. The VB1 doesn't include 2018s. The dealer should know it doesn't involve 2018s. Why is the dealer implying they'll do it but don't have the parts? Why is Califunny including 2018s? Doesn't make sense.
The VO8-VA7 AEM Emissions recall documentation said that Califunny would...
I want to correct the above "Yes" to "Not sure". The original post pictures show a ruck with a round intake. My 16 has a flat intake. I don't think there's enough room to reshape the flat into a round. I would spend the $50.00 to get a CRC aluminum pipe that has the flat end for my 16.
Easy done - it was a minor conversation that I started.
Hey Kmorningstar01, Here's hugs and hand shakes. We are all in this together, let's stay together. 👍
Yes, I'm stage one, all emissions equipment intact. You are Stage 2 emissions equipment removed/deleted and that's where my spear was thrown. It makes no difference how you drive or your age, you are deleted and flaunting it. It's your kind of talk, "The hell with regen messages and all the...
I agree, but it's highly illegal, and it's you deleted, black smoke boys and your attitudes that brought the wrath of the EPA down on GDE and others. Thanks for ruining a good thing!
Your continued flaunting it will only serve to have the EPA make it even tougher on all of us. The EPA...
Did you have the AEM V08 emissions recall done? If not you are not included in the W58 you would be included in the W68 tone wheel recall which replaces the tone wheel for free labor and parts
^^^^^^ What he said and by the way, your Eco came with 33" tires, not 32".
