My 2015 has 6200 miles in it. My normal town commute is about 6 miles each way. I never get above 35 mph. On weekends I might get on the freeway or I might not. I have towed my camper a couple of times for a total of about 600 miles.
I have never seen a REGEN light or code come on yet!
I plan...
Just got back from a 275 mile trip with the camper. Terrible weather, pouring down rain, high winds, thunder and lightning!
Averaged about 18 mpg. Trailer is 2200 lbs.
I plan on having my first one done around 6000 miles. I drive a lot of shorter trips and do some light towing. I believe the "oil life " indicator on the eco diesel uses engine revolutions to calculate oil life. Someone may correct me n this.
Debate almost complete! I did just use a heat gun and a plastic spreader. Peeled right off and did not harm the stock emblems. I still have to do the RAM 1500 on the doors. I have ordered custom machined billet replacements for the inset in the tailgate and the grill that will replace the RAMS...
I had the Dealer spray Line X in my truck and very specifically made sure the prep was done. I have a friend who had a GMC dealer do his truck and they had an arrangement with the spray company to not do the prep to save on labor. By prep I mean the paint should be scuffed before sprayed to make...
I definitely agree on the throttle part, it is definitely a little slow on the uptick. I only drive my truck about 11 miles a day round trip commute and i have been wondering when I might get the regen message. I am going skiing tomorrow so that should probably purge it out.
I stopped by the...
"I just still can't get a straight answer from anyone if I can run one of these tunes turn egr off and be able to smog my truck every other year."
If you can't pass emissions you are taking kind of "taking the eco" out of the ecodiesel.
That being said, I am following these tune threads with...
I by fuel at Costco where I am at here and I do see people putting in additive from a bottle at the pump. I personally have not used any yet. I think most modern fuels today have the engine additives you need. Now if you are STORING fuels that is another story.
Oooops, sorry about the double post. Seiko, thanks for the info. I live down south of you in Lacey and I think I may try a tank of that if I can get it around here!
I have only put 4000 miles on my truck since I bought it is Sept. 2015. Costco just added diesel to their fuel station here in my town so I have been fueling up there.
Does anybody run the B20? I know where to get it around here but I haven't tried it yet.
I will think about fuel additive...
