The irony behind that is I only know of one or two guys that actually do have 2 ecodiesel's and they're happy and problem free with both as far as I know.
One bad egg and guys are quick to dismiss the lot. And people just like to vent on the WWW of course
Very simple mechanical answer to this, Jack up your rear end with truck in Neutral, rotate one Tire by hand, if they both rotate same direction you have lsd, if they rotate opposite it's an open or standard Differential. Or I suppose a guy could do a burnout and check that way lol (powerbrake...
Had an issue with my drivers window refusing to Auto Up the last few days, not really sure what triggered it but was really bothering me.
Anyways simple fix, I had a 2001 Mercedes clk, frameless window coupe, if the battery was ever disconnected the windows would stick 4" from close, (they Auto...
Most of my commuting is small town 1-2 miles. Lots of idling with Minnesota winters. But I get a lot of highway miles also, I only run into high dpf issues if the truck doesn't get out of town for a week then it bitches it needs some drive time to burn off. No biggy. That's the "don't buy a...
Laramie longhorn has the painted bumpers. I have the white gold 2 tone and really like it. Only chrome is grill, door pulls, and tow mirrors, oh and a little chrome clad on the wheels but with the white gold painted inserts it's nothing flashy
so a few things wrong with the fuel filter procedure,
1.) book states to cycle the key with the Phillips drain open to drain without having to open it and break the vacuum. (I have not done this yet for a filter change so I'm not positive how thoroughly it drains and I have a solid drain plug...
Yes and I stated that in the Post. Even though I Used "limited slip friction modified fluid" I still added the mopar friction modifier.
But that being said, @Capt Tim stated that he has a standard open differential. Not limited slip.
Holy shit 341,000 miles?!
I thought about contracting for the travel Trailer transports but around here they're 100% requiring a 2500 or better with 27k gvw endorsement. So no dice
You realize we are only a year away from wrenching on these things in our garages, which was the point I tried to make above. Lifting a cab and doing a long block is not entirely out of the grasp for some guys.
My motor blows and Warranty won't pick it up? I'm not floating a 10-15k dealer...
And you will probably never see it, but I work just a mile from home, so if I just run back and forth to work all week or two, errands right in town, tack on held time etc.. it can never complete the passive regeneration process.
It's not a problem or like anything is broken. It's just a dummy...
@Scott7091968 how do you like the atw and how many miles do you have on them? I was on the edge between the 4 season and going with the mt. (Stt pro). It was a very tough decision for me and I took a pretty good hit on MPG's for it.
It's on the second page of the maintenance section. Getting kind of buried these days.

I'm only 53k in, I haven't even touched my egr diffuser tube. Never dug into a thing on the engine. Changed oil, air fuel and oil filters, done. Probably getting to the point I should clean things up but it'll probably be springtime. It's a busy time of year with harvest coming up
