Again you are wrong! Just because you are an SFT hater you should not lie.
I repeat for anyone reading this post, that the carlhenry post #10 above is incorrect, that SFT is a legitimate vendor selling legitimate tunes in the USA.
Carl,
You are wrong! SFT is a very "legit" place selling great, proven tunes in the states. In fact not only for the Ecodiesel, but they are also about to release almost every other vehicle on the road via an OBDII tuner, no sending their ECU away to get tuned.
Quit sending fake news!
Just for the sake of friendly conversation, I can assure you that if you go to a Ram dealer with a K&N filter installed and have problems related to the air intake they will not fix it under warranty.
And regardless of any "debunking", I believe GDE when they say "The hi-flow filters (referring...
"They" are the filter tests that I've read about on forums and elsewhere.
Do a search, Google it, there's lots of data about K&N and other oil filters passing dirt.
GDE (Green Diesel Engineering) said:
"We do not recommend K&N style filtration on a turbocharged engine.
The hi-flow filters do...
GearHead,
That's good that you have had no problems with oil filters. I guess the point is that for the Ecodiesel, they offer no advantage over the stock paper filter. So why pay more and have the hassle of cleaning and oiling properly, etc. for no reason. I once used K&Ns in my Ford trucks...
SFT is still in operation in the USA. They have reasonably priced, great and proven ECU & TCU tunes that you install yourself, no sending the ECU to the tuner.

And it doesn't hurt that my grand-son-in-law is the General Sales Manager 😁
What's interesting to me is that no mention is made of the Grand Cherokee Ecodiesels. Do they have a better or different EGR system?

I don't believe they knew there was a recall. The dealers are usually the last know,
I have a relative who is a General Sales Manager and a great Service manager and neither had heard of the recall until I showed them the article announcing it.
