I removed the cover and all the foam. The one over the injection pump was a pain. Engine is now louder, but I like the sound and hate the extra non-functional crap
Makes sense if it meets Eco specs, I'm not aware of any negatives.
You got me beat, my 2016 just turned 14,600 miles. I change oil and filter once a year, averaging less than 5,000 miles.
Where did you get the lights?
Can't remember, had them laying around for a while. Probably off eBay
How/where did you connect the new lights.
See post #2
I mounted two 7" cubes/bars as backup lights and tapped onto the backup light wiring at the rear of the truck. Working fine, no problems.
Welded tabs onto the hitch tube to get the lights up high and further back. Here's a pic of the radio screen at night.
Brian is in Iowa so he's good to go with GDE. If Califunny hit -23 degrees for 48 hours there would be mass hysteria and the illegals would return to their native countries. o_O (y)
Yes, a Fumato valve makes it even easier - get one with the tubing nipple. I drain into an old 6 gal outboard motor plastic gas tank. Works perfectly as they are flat, have a wide opening and a good screw on cap. Bought two of them for5 bucks at a garage sale.
Right now Rotella T-6 is on...
He is Michael Nivens at Perry Chrysler in National City. Tell him I referred you, he'll treat you right.
Give him a call first as he's hard to contact otherwise
By the way - GDE can no longer modify, maintain, or update existing tuned Calif trucks. Nor can they sell any new tunes as CAlif EPA...
Congrats on your new truck.
You should consider changing oil and filter yourself. The Eco is probably the easiest engine I've ever worked on to change oil & filter. That way you know it's done right and yo save a bundle. If you so decide, be informed. For example, it needs to drain for...
1-can anyone tell me if a manual regen is possible?
Edge Insight CTS2 will do it. However, Edge has yet to program it for the 2017
2-also which obd reader is the best for this truck.
OBDLink MX Scanner is best (because it will scan all modules) & is the most expensive.
"Best" really...
Thanks SignGuy,
The Ranch Hand guard attaches both to the tow hook mounts and underneath - very strong! My son added the light cage to protect the HIDs. Smaller HIDs would have been better but I had these from another truck (they are custom modified Hella halogens).
If you get a light or...
All available options that I am aware of will compromise your front bumper parking sensors. I have a front Ranch Hand guard and 7" HID lights and have to run 100% with the front parking sensors "off". I tried the caps that go over the affected sensors, and other mods, allowing the other...
BoostN,
I agree regards stacking. So does Banks who says:
The idea of stacking in-line tuners is foiled by the EcoDiesel ECU. It limits EGT to 1500F. We manipulate that with the afterburner and get all there is to be had. Stacking anything on top of this, as long as you're running the stock...
I wonder about a Derringer added to a GDE tuned truck. OK? Results? Consequences?
Guess GDE would say, "don't do it".
Guess Banks would say, "no problem".
