Update: Called the FCA Emissions line. No one can give me an actual 'status,' but the representative I spoke with (Mary) adamantly indicated that if NO other claim was received by August 1, I should get the balance ($615) "Sometime in September..." Sounds like the usual 'six weeks to...
Just hit 60K. Repeated issues with it going into limp mode due to Throttle Control Module problems and the plenum getting caked with soot. Cracked EGR valve (eventually covered under the extended Emissions warranty.) Dreadful performance since the AEM flash - reduction in MPG and towing...
August 1 has come and gone; I'm reaching out to FCA today to find out about the balance of the $3075 associated with the settlement. (There had been a 'previous' owner of my EcoDiesel, though he passed away and I confirmed no one would have filed a claim as he'd been the co-owner of the...
Stop the presses! (And knock me over with a feather.) I got the mail last night, and there was a check from FCA for the EGR Cooler replacement ($2700+), which I paid for back in April. So two of three. (The final check I anticipate is the remainder of the $3075. If no previous owner...
2015 Ram Outdoorsman Eco-Diesel. Bought used in October of 2016 with 7900 miles on it. (Owned/driven by the owner of the small-town dealership where I live.) 58,000 miles on it now. Three issues with Throttle Control Module going into full limp mode - covered under warranty. (Plenum sooted...
Hi all. Well, I received a 'settlement' check (a partial) in the mail yesterday for $2460. So one of three checks has finally arrived. As noted above, I got 'word' that my reimbursement for work done on my EGR cooler (and which is now covered under the extended warranty associated with the...
Mjchitt (and others) - I agree. (Though I'd shy away from a Chevy, and particularly a 'new' diesel which will likely be saddled with similar emissions restrictions.) My Portal has indicated the check has been mailed for nearly a month now, and I still don't have it.
I DID (after nearly...
They (FCA) can't get their stories straight. I realize they've got this new (and likely temporary) hotline with phone support bodies for this entire emissions settlement fiasco, but no one can give you a consistent answer. I've called multiple times and one person claims, "Oh, it takes 3-6...
Vern - I agree on the overpriced opinion on the Airlift 5000; local shop that installs them wanted just shy of $900 - said there is "...4 hours of labor to put them in; I don't know why, but that's what we quote." I've had the Airlift 1000 kit in for a couple of years; no leaks and (if you...
I have the Ram 1500 EcoDiesel, and installed the AirLift 1000. I have a 25 foot, 6300 lb. trailer and I only have to put about 25 lbs. (of 100 possible) in them to lift and stabilize the back end. Cost was about $80 on Amazon and I put them in myself in less than an hour.
Just some more feedback and information. Obviously it's frustrating to log into the FCA Settlement portal for weeks and see it reflecting 'Check has been mailed...' So I called FCA once again to ask about it, and today, a 'Nybol' indicated, "Oh, yeah...it says that, but it can take 6-8 weeks...
Nice. I'll initially (if it ever arrives) only get $2460; the balance allegedly will be sent if no other owner makes a claim. (I was kind of the second owner; the truck had been driven by the owner of the dealership for less than a year, but he's since passed away, so I don't believe he'll be...
I'm a month late in this post's reply, but I hope you avoided reimbursement at all costs. I had to pay out-of-pocket in April for a cracked EGR cooler ($2740+) and filed a claim. It was closed shortly after by FCA because I was told it would be covered under the Emissions extended Warranty. I...
4.10 gears churn out a lot of RPM's. I think my 2000 had 3.55 final gear but was still a gas hog.
Just did another weekend trip with my camper and the EcoDiesel only got 9 mpg on primarily a highway trip. (A couple miles to and from the expressway, then about 45 miles of open road.) I used...
Yeah, my point as well. Why would the site indicate check has been mailed when (in your case) it wasn't even generated for nearly two weeks after the site indicated it had been mailed. Blatantly FALSE! Mine has said this now for going on three weeks:
Welcome aboard. There is a ton of useful information on this site, and it appears there are several 'tune' solutions which those who've leveraged them have indicated work and work well with this engine. Good luck with your new EcoDiesel.

That sure seems to be a boatload of hooey if they're indicating the following on your portal, but yet when you're calling in to ask about the claim, it results in a representative telling you something entirely contrary! Seems like FCA's customer service lines should be melting down with all...

And some of us have our Reimbursement portal indicate 'Settlement Check Mailed' for several weeks, yet nothing shows up in the mailbox... (One member of this forum posted something along the lines of, "I wonder what planet they mailed it from...?" )
