Hahahaha. Well I don't have my cheat card handy to recite the whole thing. But yes you are correct on the days off. At our center it's at least a few days. Then if brought back in service it's a few weeks of revisiting your accident as an example to others in the daily PCMs.
The undercarriage looks pretty well protected from the factory. But as you know, one winter and its toast. Be warned tho, this stuff doesn't dry. It'll stay shiny and wet for a long time. Will collect some dust. It's ok tho because it's protecting your investment.
I used my friends lift to get the truck in the air and just sprayed whole underside like I was painting a car. Then attached the flexible want to get inside the frame, over the wheel wells, and through the rocker panel access holes. And any other area I couldn't get with just the gun. Also used...
A good rule of thumb when backing is using the triangle method. Driver side mirror, rear view, then passenger side. Then sweep back reverse order. Never just side to side.
Not lecturing, just passing on a tip that I've learned in 14 years on the road.
Looks like the pole took a beating too. Oh well I guess, this stuff happens and you move on. Maybe next time you'll check the rear view camera. [emoji41] just kiddin.
Well I got it done today. 1 gallon was enough for my EcoD and a friends '11 CCSB 2500 Hemi. Took about 3 hours total to do. Very satisfied with the product so far. Time will be the real teller.
Nah it was a good warm summer day. Used spider wire to 'saw' the numbers off. Then just a combo of fingernails & adhesive remover to clean up the residue. Very tedious job. But cleans up the look tremendously.
As I questioned here:
The truck does have a slowing/braking feature while not in cruise control as well. Happens after a slight tap on the brakes then coasting. Will this remain the same without the GDE braking option?
If there's a source for more info and the answer, I'm all ears. Thanks...
My question:
If I order the tune WITHOUT the braking feature, am I still able to maintain the OEM ?turbo? braking capability?
From GDE:
There is no engine braking in the stock tune that is accomplished via management of the vanes' position. We've seen this quotes in a few places now and is...
Yea my halogens are pretty bad. I run with the fogs on just for the extra lumens. Never had a problem with my GMs. Swap in Silverstars and I was good to go.
You know, I like Ford's new look. Especially the lights. Chevy as well. Even Tundras are looking better.
But I cannot stand Titans, GMCs, or the Colorado/Canyons.
All just based on looks. I've not had much seat time with anything new to comment otherwise.
Yea I've seen that. Very slick. I've got mine just tucked under the hood. Just pop the hood and plug in. (Truck spends its nights in the garage.)
On another note- any chance you/anyone can find a part # to the plastic surrounds that encompass your towhooks? I added tow hooks to mine but haven't...
Went ahead and ordered a 2 gallon Fluid Film kit. Supposedly enough for mine and a buddie's truck. I upgraded the spray gun and added a 24" flexible extension wand. Came to about $175 shipped. So for $87.50, I should be covered for the season. Small price to pay for corrosion prevention here in...
