    You mean flaking? I can't see paint chipping from impacts being anything but a "wear and tear" issue. Just my opinion.

    I believe I've read that the letters are recessed. Not easily removed like most emblems.

    Spotted one in Chillicothe, OH this am. First one I've seen in town. Black Laramie, ram boxes, WV plates. Beautiful truck, save for the Pittsburgh 'Squealers' sticker on the back glass lol.

    That's my approach, just drive on and let the vehicle computer do its job. I do abide by the cool down chart in the manual tho.

    Well I yanked out the passenger side, but the drivers side has a rubber hose inlaid on top. Not sure if I'll take that side off.

    Do the molded foam pieces on top of engine under the cover serve any purpose other then sound dampening?
