I'm so on the fence about these tunes. The drivability and fun factor would no doubt increase, along with useful functions like EGR delete and the engine braking capability. MPG increases, power increases, etc etc. All great attributes of an aftermarket tune that are so appealing.
But when all...
Yea. I watched a lot of videos as well. Always like the TFLTRUCK videos the best.
You know what? I really do like the looks of that F150, and ya can't deny its power. But I still know the EcoD was the better choice for me. And I couldn't care one bit if my run up a mountain takes me 43seconds...
Agreed^^^
When I was younger, if I got skunked on the lake or creek, I took it to heart. Not so much anymore. With young kids, hectic schedules, and prior commitments, any time spent on the water is well worth it, trophy bag or not.
Agreed. Towing as light as 1000# should net pretty close to empty mpg numbers. Unless I guess if it's a huge wind sail, which in this case I don't think it is.
Not sure I get what you're towing. If it's 1000# total, that's nothing, & 18+mpg is way off. My boat setup is only around 3500# and I see 22+mpg all day long.
Apples to oranges to pears. 3 great choices, 3 very different engines. All are great in my opinion, but each has it's downfalls. It's up to us as consumers to decide which one suits our needs and what we want to sacrifice in order to daily drive a fullsize truck.
That's because if we're involved in an accident, no matter who's at fault, we get taken out of service. Taken out of service = loss of paycheck. Loss of paycheck = really pissed. Etc etc. you get the idea lol. I'm not gonna beat y'all up on this. I've always wanted to try it but I can't get...
Is this a brand new truck? How long have you had it? Windshield, tire, & steering wheel issues? Might want to take it back in to dealership and have them make those things right....
I've been running 43-45 in mine for the entire 5,400miles of use. Haven't noticed wear in the middle, but I've not looked for it either. Unless it's drastic, I'll keep it there. Always run them towards the upper psi range on all my vehicles.
