The Edge units will plug into the OBD2 port and give expanded access to the same info that OBD scantools have and the same info that is used by the ECM to monitor engine coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil temperature, battery voltage etc, most of the parameters are user configuable on the...
Those mileage numbers are not out of line, I get 22 to about 29 if I drive conservatively, tire life is hard to say I got about 37000 out of my last set of all terrain Coopers, for the record, they didn't get rotated & balanced like they should have been, covid had EVERYTHING screwed up & we...
DEF FILTER?? I think you mean DPF filter. If you have ALFAOBD & a bluetooth dongle I think you can do a stationary regen. I would suggest a monitor that can monitor soot load int the DPF, I use an EDGE CTS 3 in my truck, you have to set the parameters but it's not too bad.
These are great...
Wow, Prescott, nice country, I had a friend graduate from the gunsmithing school up there a few years ago. I'm down in Ajo, born here, raised here and worked the mine until 1985 when they shut the last of it down, I was in the pipe shop and one of the last ones out the gate due to my seniority...
It is beautiful, my wife wanted to move to Missouri until she got a taste of the summer humidity, it's hot here in Az, but we only have a month or slightly more of the humidity.
I'm surprised that the residual diesel didn't mess with it. I have family in Springfield, Bolivar, and my Aunt & uncle had our family farm just off of Stockton Lake, my grandfather had a blacksmith shop in Caplinger Mills if ya know here that is.
The achilles heel of the ECO is the DPF/REGENS and EGR, MOPAR screwed up when they neglected to include a way to monitor REGEN status and initiate a manual REGEN. ALFAOBD has the capability to initiate it, EDGE INSIGHT 3 will monitor soot level and REGEN status, EDGE INSIGHT2 will do both, the 3...
He asked about a 2021 ECODIESEL 1500 AND A GASSER, not an ECO & an HD. I answered based on the info provided, maybe the 21 is different but I don't think the 2017 era trucks matter across the 1500 platform.
The first thing I did after buying my 17 was order an EDGE INSIGHT 3 and program it to monitor soot levels, all 3 exhaust emperatures, and REGEN STATUS, plus some other PID'S, it affords me the knowledge of knowing what's happening with the DPF and REGENS,, these trucks SUCK as a daily driver in...
I feel your pain, the only thing I can suggest is to try different dealers, is the truck still under warranty? Check lemon laws for your state and proceed, call RAM and open a case, that's all I've got.
There is no requirement that the vehicle be maintained by a Chrysler dealership, they can suggest it it and fight warranty claims. When you do your own maintenance make sure you keep the end flap of the filter box and oil receipts, I maintain a spreadsheet with all the info, mileage, date oil...
I bought my 17 with 14,343 miles on the clock, I've done all the maintenance that it has received since that mileage, I change my oil at 6-8000 miles, depending on what life is tossing our way. I have used T6 until my last purchase when circumstances mandated something different, the fuel filter...
I honestly don't know, I've never used it, I managed the maintenance an Ambulance fleet of Ford/Navistar POWERSTROKES & GM DURAMAX rigs, I had trucks with over 700,000 miles when I retired in 2013. I wasn't allowed to use additives, but I was dealing with different high pressure pumps and fuel...
