Possibly remove the battery cables for a few minutes or try this procedure compliments of another forum member John who posted this. But if you plan to keep the truck for a while, it would be a wise investment (around $100) to have the software and connector. Once you replace the part, a simple...
I don’t see why it should require a dealer trip or calibration. If you have a laptop or android device, look into alfaobd and a obd Bluetooth adapter, it will allow you to do most everything the dealer can do.
Honestly if it has had repetitive issues, I would consider looking at different vehicles or consider an off road tune to eliminate most of the common issues of these trucks. 25-27k trade in sounds like Id be selling mine 🤣
Sounds like your tank pump is going out on thermal limit when it gets that low. Tcdiesel explained it on a previous thread but long story short, the return fuel line dumps directly onto the pump when the tank is low. In Florida where it is warm to start with, the fuel in the tank will heat up...
I want to say yes, but if you ever take your truck to the dealer, you will want to put your factory ecu back so you don’t lose your tune or changed settings that were made in alfaobd
It will need the vin changed, and injectors recoded, if I recall correctly. Alfaobd offers the option to do what is needed for around 75-100$ depending on what obd connector you choose.
Welcome! Many have found that the standard paper filter has done better than an oil coated filter. I have an oil k&n filter but I find I don’t clean it as much as I keep up with the paper filters in my other vehicles
This was the height I received mine at with slightly smaller than stock tires. I didn’t measure but the 2” leveling kits normally make the fender gap the same.
bigger tires = more weight
I have the 3.55 rear and when I went from stock tires to 35’s I couldn’t tel a power difference at all but my mpg dropped a few ticks. I tow frequently so a true mpg reading on the highway isn’t anything I could achieve 🤣
I have a 2” leveling kit, with a 1.5” body lift and I was running 35/1250r20 tires on stock wheels with a 1.5” whee spacer. It was enough to fill the fenders with slight tire rub. I would look look at www.customwheeloffset.com for ideas on what combo tire and wheel offset for your taste!
As far as I’m aware, Alfa is not capable of programming keys. The gentleman who did my spare had to call the dealer and mopar and ended up taking about an hour. Any reputable lock smith can do it
Welcome! Do you have air ride? I know those tend to come with more headache but the 6” kit from anywhere usually states what’s required after a lift is installed
Welcome! Sorry to hear about your experience, but you are lucky your dealer will even touch it. There are stories of dealers refusing to take an eco into their shops. Hopefully they got you straight!
Just an FYI if your Ram doesn’t have Navi, until the end of august you can purchase and add it for 440$ instead of $520~!! Easy to add and the site has step by step directions
