    K & N air filter

Well, having read most if not all of the, not quite referenced but inferred, "studies" and having experience in the automotive additives testing wars from the 70's as well as my experience in the collegial atmosphere. Whenever your read a report or study from a scientific source you may note no...

    K & N air filter

John: I just work it into my oil change routine, take air filter out first, clean, leave to drip dry, change oil and oil filter, re-oil air filter and re-install. With our trucks the oil drain is a minimum of 30 minutes so leaves time to air dry, do not use compressed air unless it is at reduced...

    Engine airfilter

FCA official stand is "no comment" or a large amount of legalese which amounts to "it depends on the dealer" as FCA does not void warranty for a K&N air filter.

    Engine airfilter

Yes, fits stock air filter box. Have one in my 2014 RAM, works fine, have Oil Analysis to prove no increase in dirt ingestion. Clean properly, oil properly, no issues. Noticed no permanent increase in fuel mileage but performance is more consistent, and by the time I don't buy a paper air filter...

    K & N air filter

I have run K&N air filters on my Pro Dirt Track motorcycles since 1975 with no increase in dirt ingestion, in all types of track conditions. I have run K&N air filter in my stock air intake on my 1995 Chevy Z7, presently 399K miles, original drive train, with no increase in dirt ingestion. Ran...

Howdy? Has anyone received compensation from FCA due to the emissions issue?

Yes I got mine for my RAM but yet to receive check for the wife's Jeep GC.

    Air Suspension

Accurate, if the pump continues to run to correct a system position issue it will overheat and cause a heavier amp draw. The system as a whole has to be diagnosed, not myopically looking only at the pump. The pump is running at the request of the system to meet a sensed deficiency or incorrect...

    Air Suspension

As in dealing with any system the technician and the technical information provided are pivotal to any successful repair. My wife's 2015 Jeep GC blew one fuse, I checked system, and have had no issues since, a year ago. My 2014 1500 has had no issues.

Eco Diesel JGC fuel filters change - interesting observation.

I have the RAM and my wife has the JEEP. The JEEP uses two identical filters side by side as you have witnessed. If one is darker or swollen that would be an indication of some type of fuel contamination or overfull. If one is a lighter color and lighter in weight, then being crazy suspicious, I...

    electronic throttle control

If I remember correctly from May of this year that code requires a Dealer Stationary Regeneration, the code is for Diesel Particulate Filter 100% full, you should have received that message on your EVIC along with your "Service Electronic Throttle Control". Sorry. My shop scanner could not turn...

    EcoDiesel flash with settlement

I would love to pile on with this comment, but if you take the time to read the entire settlement, FCA and EPA with CARB did test the 2017 program on vehicles in testing mode and live driving tests. Purchased used vehicles and a few pristine models from FCA. Whether or not they documented the...

    Ram EcoDiesel Oil Change Information

I really hate to jump in here but I will attempt to be polite and not piss anyone off. I am a big fan of Valvoline products used them for years in my automobile and trucks until I switched to synthetic, and even then I have found good synthetics in their brand. I am also a big proponent of...

    Banks Derringer

No they do not turn off the EGR, do have EPA/CARB approval, provide the same HP and Torgue gains as well as mileage gains. They do change the turbo profile and offer a regen on demand function. Have multiple options for add on gauges etc.

    Banks Derringer Tuner

Banks makes quality products and know what they are doing. No their system does not alter the EGR function, but they do change the turbo function to accomplish some positive effects. The also offer regen on demand function.

    GDE alternatives?

Banks Derringer, CARB/EPA approval number. Is a piggyback system with multiple system tie in points. Same HP and Torque gains as others, does not alter ERG function, and have several very nice functions, costs about the same. Good Luck.

EPA National Compliance Initiative - Stopping Aftermarket Defeat Devices

ck Yes the Volt is a good car, quality, performance, as advertised. The Tesla Model 3 is a leap forward and expects commercial success, and I am glad it fits a part of your driving style. Several years back when CNG was $.40 a gallon I looked into converting my Chevy for fuel cost savings and...

EPA National Compliance Initiative - Stopping Aftermarket Defeat Devices

Don't know what electric vehicle you are charging. The Chevy Volt is advertised as using a wall socket for quick charging, yet reading the fine print that is a 12 hour recharge to get a maximum 50 mile range, a Level 2 charger, considerable larger cost yet faster charge, requires 32 to 50amps...

EPA National Compliance Initiative - Stopping Aftermarket Defeat Devices

At present time the charge time is more like 14hrs+, however the hydrogen technology will be the savior and hopefully will develop fast enough that battery will not be considered. The environmental impact of mining and disposal of Lithium Ion batteries is far worse than hydrocarbon fuels. As...
