WHAT!!!!, Never heard of this, another reason not to Own/Buy VM products IMO.

Its just another delay. Not to mention how things get damage or disappear in Shipping, Warranty on VM products are beyond absurdity.

I guess I'll have to look into where I can get my oil analyzed locally. Does anyone know how much an OA should cost?

On a side note, I wonder if this truck could take a 4BT swap?? hhhmmmm??

Traded ecodiesel for hemi, warranty still not settled, dealer traded as if motor was not blown, warranty will cover, just a mater of when, took little bit of negative equity but not much.

If you don’t mind me asking and if you don’t want to answer I understand but what did they give you for trade in on a blown motor eco ram. Seems like dealers around here treat them like they have covid all over them

Just had my 2019 slt bearings go at 67xxxkm I'm or 41xxx miles. Warranty denied due to late oil change. What are my chances here? Claiming oil starvation was the cause but 8000miles from last change. Drained 9.5L/10 from truck at dealership.

If you have recorded history? otherwise 50/50 filing claim against Stellantis.

I have 3 of 5 changes recorded. Does lack of evidence of changes completely punt my chances with chrysler. Seems they have made up their minds. Full engine replacement is what they are suggesting.

Yes..... 3 out of 5 does establish some history. Well if you're going to throw in the towel. there's no reason for Stellantis to cover it under warranty.

Not throwing it in yet. Trying to get some knowledge about the situation. I've been back and forth with FCA feel like a dog chasing my tail. Not a chance I'm dumping 18 thousand into a truck I bough it new 1.5 years ago. From what I've read here sounds like there's hope.

Don't tired out..... Its a common problem many VM3.0 owners have faced, it's this simple you either have a Hero or a Zero engine. Thier are very few Ram 1500 DSL that make 100K miles without ( In DD use) some type of costly repair, after that its risky and you had better have $5K in reserve Cash for repairs. In the USA Many owners dump the 3.0VM just before warranty ends on the engine. CA owner only have what 63K miles warranty that just sucks for CA owners.

Trucks let me down a few times already on my highway commute due to emissions equipment failure. Also only covered to 37k miles. I was hoping my 19 model would have shed most of the issues by now. Seems this is not the case.
