Engine Replacement Cost?

Debating whether to keep driving my Eco out of warranty....if the worst happened again, how much would I be out of pocket??

Vern has replaced his, around 350k miles or there abouts. I believe it was under $8k.

371,500 she pushed out a head gasket. I decided better to buy than rebuild. Complete new motor came with new fuel pump, injectors, turbo, etc $5,500. This also included manufacturer 24 month unlimited mileage warranty. Great deal for a Diesel engine IMO. Book hours normal Midwest shop rates $2k to R&R.

FYI I got a real good price on that motor. I think suggested dealership retail is like 7K.

Moparpartsgiant sells the long block for $4,159.99 but the whole engine for $12,750.00. If vern got the who thing he got a great deal.

I got mine for a wholesale-ish price. I’ve heard they are higher now but don’t know how much. Green Diesel Engineering (GDE) got me mine. I don’t believe they are a retailer/wholesaler for FCA but certainly you can talk to them. This was March 2019. And i don't believe the web site is valid anymore. Supply and demand, some dealers prices are better than others. Obviously not warranty on your end...

Where did you purchase? In getting to the point I need to replace or get a new truck and I live my truck
