Which one are you guys changing your oil by, The dash EVIC tells me to change to oil around 8600 miles. The owners manual states the oil can be changed at 10k miles. I have never been able to go 10k between oil changes. I would just like to know how most are changing their oil.

Ok, I have a 2016 Ram with 37K on it. I run nothing but Amsoil synthetic. And I plan to drive it until it dies.

I have heard that the eco diesel is to have 5 w 40 viscosity as apposed to 5w30

Yep - factory spec is Shell Rotella T-6, Full Synthetic, 5w-40

Ram changed it to 5-40, a lot of people are using Shell Rotella . I use Amsoil 5-40 Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil.

Dealers here in Canada say 15,000 km(9-10,000 miles)
I think I will change mine every 5-6 thousand miles
