Which one are you guys changing your oil by, The dash EVIC tells me to change to oil around 8600 miles. The owners manual states the oil can be changed at 10k miles. I have never been able to go 10k between oil changes. I would just like to know how most are changing their oil.
 
Change it when or before the evic tells u to

Yep! my March 2016 Ram has a whopping 16, 277 miles. That's a 5426 per year average

Ok, I have a 2016 Ram with 37K on it. I run nothing but Amsoil synthetic. And I plan to drive it until it dies.
 
7500 miles (max) or 12 months Rotella T-6 2017 with 19,000 miles
 
My mileage under 5,000 per year so the once a year with T6
 
I have heard that the eco diesel is to have 5 w 40 viscosity as apposed to 5w30
Is this true?
 
Yep - factory spec is Shell Rotella T-6, Full Synthetic, 5w-40

Ram changed it to 5-40, a lot of people are using Shell Rotella . I use Amsoil 5-40 Synthetic Diesel Engine Oil.
 
Every 5000 miles. Using Pentosin Pento Speed SP 5W-40.

Dealers here in Canada say 15,000 km(9-10,000 miles)
I think I will change mine every 5-6 thousand miles
