What is the widest tire that can go on an 18x9 inch wheel? My Eco has a 2-inch leveling kit installed and clearance doesn't seem to be an issue, within reason.

Right now my 275/70 KO2's seem small in the wheelwell. Id like to go a little taller as well as wider if possible. Suggestions?

I don't think you can go as wide as a 305 with factory wheel offset but I believe 285-295 can fit, and with a leveling kit a narrow 35 seems about as large as you can get, fits my wheel well nicely

I guess I've seen a 305-50 (I think) maybe it's 55, but it's way way fatter of a tire than the rim so you get no side wall. That being on a factory 20" rim, I think the 8" wide standard 5 spoke chrome clad, but some forums I've read the 305 rubs the upper control arm there isn't much room there, it depends on the offset of your wheels.

18x9 is not a oem size for theses trucks so we would need the offset to even have a clue as what well fit.

Thinking about going to the ridge grappler next, still 275/65. See if it's less noise than the stt pro. I want something more aggressive than a g2, so Stt Maxx, ridge grappler, or another set of pro's

The BFGs have beenn the GoTo tire for me for 400,000 miles of 4x4s and have never failed us...great tires ..but here in Az the new KO2 seems to wear faster over the summer heat than the older T/A did ...real or imagined its time to change...with the new lift we can go with any size.
I find it is hard to find a 295 65 in A/T where it was not an 80+lb tire.

Sheesh! 80+ lbs? I find the 60-70# 275's a bit excessive

Yes..weight maybe no concern on a 2500...my buddies cummins..he runs the G2 in 295...he only has 10,000 on them tho..and complaining they are wearing down quick..he also said they wandered around the road until they were broke in..in Arizona.. road heat is an issue tho...my KO2s will make it to 40k.. maybe..at 6/32 now at 28,000k

If you don't mind road noise these cooper Stt pro's are nice. I have 34k on the lesser half of the usable tread

I realize I'm colder climate but that's looking like it will be pretty darn good tread life overall

For this new vers of KO I think so, this with religious rotations, the older version BFG KO must have been harder rubber, they ran forever.

Yea I've heard that of many many people that were religious to those tires, but they softened the compound and added some siping so get snow certification as an all weather tire. They also get torn up on gravel pretty bad. The general grabber is supposed to be the old bfg ko mold, I wonder how close they hit with the compound.

Wow.. didn't know the grabber was that close to the BFG's.
Yea man, the budget brand scares everyone off but a lot of guys in the Tire shops around here use them, saying it's just the original ko.

well they are close.. but the center block pattern is slightly off and edge siping..likely to avoid patent infringement if its still valid..I went thru 3 sets of the BFG KOs on an earlier 4 wheeler..and they wear great.
