Just a curious question, If you take off the plastic engine cover off when you open up hood are there 2 grey foam blocks under the fuel lines left and right? Many people have removed those and it can increase mechanical noise.

Neither the GDE or the GDP tunes turns off the EGR, if this is your goal you will have to look elsewhere.

Well you definitely don't want it to get to 100%, that will guarantee a trip to the dealer. You will need some monitoring equipment to actually see the soot levels.
