Getting the ugly out of the way first - somewhere around 7% of these engines die from main bearing failure. The engines were, in these cases, defective. The good news is that this is the easiest risk to mitigate because warranties on the drivetrain abound.
These are great trucks if you use...
There is nothing code or sensor wise that leads them to a clogged EGR diffuser tube or MAP sensor. So being code chasers all they are left to do is change parts. Lucky for us there are smart guys who told us how to fix this problem and I am just passing on their solution to you.
If you are not going to put a Sofa King or GDE tune (or other equally good tune) on it, don't buy one. Don't pay above KBB Private Party and do buy an extended warranty. Do a blow-by test.
wow! I am sorry you broke it! Part number 68211211AA, 67 dollars from Mopar Parts Giant. Going to be hard to find in stock.

So here is your solution - so far it has worked for everyone. No sensor points to it so the dealers struggle to solve it. You are not driving a tuned truck (Sofa King or GDE) so your EGR is being used. It was all clogged up so the dealer changed it but he stopped too soon. You need to remove...
no, a www.sofakingtuned.com or www.greendieselengineering.com tuned. Sofa King has a deal going on for the engine and trans tune. The tune makes all the difference with owning this truck.
Uh oh, sounds like a glow plug module or glow plug problem... well, eventually it won't start, no matter the weather.
Usually the module though - how many miles on your truck?
"Looks like a new truck in my near future"
Nah. Drop a Sofa King or GDE tune on that truck and make it much better than new. No need to bail on that very nice truck.
Good body shop will charge you maybe 300 for a respray on the bumper.
One thing is turning off the EGR, so that means your EGR cooler is no longer heat cycling and no longer so prone to failure. Not pumping all that exhaust back into your intake is very good for your truck. It keeps the MAP sensor and intake clean. All important things and it also improves your...
40k miles a year tells you it was used on the highways so maybe! Do you know how to do a blowby test? Take off the oil fill cap and put your hand over it. Have someone start the engine and see how much is coming back out. Not much, just a whiff? All good. Blowing out like a hairdryer on...
yes, under warranty. here is an exract for you. It gives you the highlights. You can get the whole thing at www.ecodieselsettlement.com. Get to the dealer.
Because of the price and people raving about it I would recommend you look at www.sofakingtuned.com (so glad they changed the URL). They offer an ECM and transmission tune at a great price.
89k miles - that EGR diffuser tube, MAP sensor and intake are going to be plenty filthy. Clean the...
The seat is shaking as part of the overspeed indicator system. You should normally predetermine your rotation speed and begin to nose up when you get to it. But don't worry, your steering wheel will shake if you nose up too hard and are going into a stall.
Wait! That's an airplane!
Since...
After they get the fuel pump replaced you need to address the Electronic Throttle Control issue. That is usually tied to a dirty MAP sensor and a clogged EGR diffuser tube. While they have it tomorrow, tell them to clean them and the ETC error should go away. If you stay with a stock ECM...
You said: "Now the dealer is giving me a hard time and is saying it’s the tires but when I got them balanced it didn’t take a lot of weights or look off to me." - So I gave you my opinion which is a way to rule out the wheels and tires. If these wheels and tires Road Force balance show him...
I would try Road Force Balancing the tires before spending any more money. The dealer should have a Road Force Balance machine, and some tire shops do. You can call around and see who will do it and how much. Some dealers are 30 dollars a wheel and some are 10.
Fair warning - even good...
