I am really enjoying this 2019 Ram with the V-6 E-torque. Nice power, great ride. Its not a hemi but I don't need a hemi. I want another diesel but I am not riding the (b)leading edge again.
All GM light diesel orders cancelled, no 2019 light diesel truck. Should eventually show up as a 2020. I guess GM doesn't want to pay those eco diesel kind of fines.

I would get GDE to send you a tuned ECM and swap it out when you need to go for dealership repairs. It costs more but it would be a good risk mitigation step to protect your warranty.
Once your warranty is all the way up, it is to your benefit to remove all the emissions equipment, especially once it fails. WIth no warranty, the EGR, DEF, DPF systems are very expensive. While they are under warranty it makes no difference.
I would recommend tuning the truck after the flash. Since you will be having that stack of money and all....
After the flash, the truck runs like it did before I put the GDE tune on it. But the mileage on my run home was only 22 mpg, where it was 25 before.
It is usually just a hair short of 11 quarts with the filter. I would put in 10.8 quarts, run the engine, then check it on level ground. I would not put in all three gallons. Overfilling can cause oil to foam.
At least where I am at, the new Ram prices are very low. They are giving 30% off sticker on a routine basis. The result is used trucks are, in turn, that much lower as well.
Happy to hang about! I will have to look at and consider the GM and the Ram diesel. But, I will not be such an early adopter. While I had no problems I see it could have been different. I will let others be on the bleeding edge this time and look at a 2024 truck. 2022 Tundra is looking...
I get mine on Tuesday! I opted for the Pentastar with the e-torque. The horsepower on this engine is ok, but the torque is a bit low. With the e-torque it seems fine. Here it is! https://www.jimmybrittcdjr.com/new/Ram/2019-Ram-1500-1a22f0da0a0e0a6b0e8c476abc312722.htm
not so long as you remove the EGR diffuser tube and MAP sensor to clean it - off of the truck. Don't answer any temptation that says you can clean your intake.
