I would get a GDE or Sofa King tune on it. That would get rid of the troublesome EGR and EGR cooler. That will make a huge difference in the reliability and durability of your truck.
that is the hose from your intercooler to your intake. The routing goes from the turbo to the intercooler to the intake. Looks like you have an oil leak at your turbo and it is spewing oil into your intake. From what I see.... It could be something dripping on the connection but I doubt it...
Does it say if it is for the regular reflector halogen or for the projector housing halogen? I tried LED in my non projector housing and it was awful. Maybe this will be better. Please keep us up to date!
I saw that post on Facebook, and I asked if I should be concerned about the focus on the low end grunt and the main bearings and was told to shut up. I think the Sofa King tune is likely good but prefer GDE's focus on power further up the rev band.
Question I emailed to GDE:
Good morning,
This was posted at ecodieselram: "Everyone be careful planning a easy ECM swap. GDE is saying they have to analyze FCA’s new software and then come up with a completely new tune program. They say it could take months to develope. You will NOT be able...
well, maybe just pictures of the tool in action. Maybe doing a stationery regen would be helpful to others. Cost of things, etc. Describe how complicated it is to use
your code is EGR troubles so, you know, you need a flash. But California does not like that. I would register that truck in Nevada. You can buy a spare ECM on ebay or moparpartsgiant.com
I got my offer for $3k and notarized it and sent it in. I have an appointment for the end of the month for the flash. I will play the 1 day shuffle on the ECM's. GDE out - Factory in - tune - Factory out - GDE back in.
I use a high quality synthetic API CJ-4 oil like Rotella T6. I did an oil analysis and it was perfect. I change it by the minder, not the miles. With the GDE tune the EGR is asleep so the intake, valves and oil stay clean.
I put in Lucas injector cleaner to the fuel, maybe a quart each month...
Your DPF is not now covered under the eco settlement? Should be, unless you are Canadian.
In the Facebook Eco performance group there is a guy advertising to buy them. You can look for his ad, maybe he will sell you one.
