Well, best you tune it. GDE, Sofa King or PPEI, all good tunes I hear.
I doubt your DPF or sensor is bad. More likely you pull that EGR tube and MAP sensor and find that they are a mess. No one finds it because the software does not look for it.
Just from the drawings it looks like you remove the belt and get after it. Maybe 3 hours? Looks like you would want to do it on a lift or pull the radiator.
It looks like the O rings are sold separate...
The prices I put up there were from www.Rockauto.com.
I shop there, www.moparpartsgiant.com and www.summitracing.com and sometimes www.jegs.com
parts stores are too expensive.
i love my hot tune but I did not get the oil pressure sensor. I have heard it is good. lots of guys really like...
Blue Bonnet DCJR is having a sale on the new 2500 with the Cummins engine! Who would have thought that the Number 1 Ram dealer in the country is in Texas? (everyone). Check out the GDE, PPEI or Sofa King tunes. All good.
but the question is, why would anyone do that? If you go into the dealer because your turbo died and it is covered under the new service agreement and all the emissions equipment is on the truck, why would a dealer go to all that trouble? Who would tell them to do that? The dealer wants to do...
I would just buy the GDE tuned ECM and keep my factory ECM for when I go to the dealer. That way you are driving with a good tune right away. Yes, it is an extra cost but i think it is worth it.
yes. In my case I kept my original ECM so I can put it back in when I need to. You can do that or mail it back to them when the dealer reflashes your ECM.
The DPF makes it half quiet. Take out the muffler and just run a straight pipe from the Cat. Also take off the foam on top of the engine and change out the intake tube and replace it with the Banks intake tube. It'll sound better.
Or get a 2500.
