I don't agree with you. Please review this.

Smart technology, like Ram’s Oil Change Indicator, automatically monitors the oil life in your vehicle using advanced algorithm and an on-board...
the warranty added only covers emissions. I don't think you get the whole $3k as a non original buyer. But the website www.ecodieselsettlement.com will tell you all that
I don't think the 3 way coolant valve is part of the emissions control system. There are videos at youtube of how to replace it. You can check the resistance in the valve to verify it is going out. $185.00 for the part. Here it is at Mopar parts giant...
I just use the oil minder and ignore the miles. When it gets down to 10% I change it. I was convinced that the minder is tracking how I drive and the load on the engine and accurately predicts when the oil should be changed.
I think the 2019 / 2020 Eco diesel engine, and the differences between what we have, will tell the tale on what the problems are with the engine. Improved bearings, rods, bigger oil pan, etc. I look forward to someone doing a teardown / compare between the two engines.
When looking for a...
"It seems like with these trucks you either got a solid engine or a giant pos"
Maybe. FCA is not talking about why these engines grenade, but somewhere about 10% of all eco engines have spun bearings. Is it poor assembly? Bad bearings? Fuel contamination in the oil? Poor oil flow? Soot in...
I would get an attorney to represent me under the Magnusson Moss warranty act. There is tons of evidence that at least 10% of these engines have grenaded. And that 10% is in the first 5 years of the engine's life. This 3.0 has bad main bearings, or it is put together poorly. Nobody seems to...
I never looked into it. You should call GDE, they are nice guys. I email them with questions and they answer right away. If I towed anything more than an occasional jet ski or utility trailer I would look into it.
That really doesn't worry me so much as the dealer deciding to overwrite my ECM while they have it. The tune is actually very good for your truck's longevity.
I would just do the tune. Your drive train is warranted up to 100k miles?
So wait and do the delete then. Once you do the delete your warranty is done. With the settlement warranty you also have the added coverage on the turbo and you get free diagnosis on any problem, regardless of cause...
Here is an extract from the Consent Decree between FCA and the Government. Provided in the extract is the list of items that are covered by a warranty / service agreement to each owner of an Eco. The order should be signed in early May by the judge, it is already signed by FCA and the...
low pressure or high pressure injector pump? I get the high pressure pump at 460 for parts, but jeez, the tank pump is only $150 bucks. I think you should have changed your filter more often since you run such low miles each year. Maybe change it every other year and add some fuel treatment...
that is a pretty rare issue. My company built wire harness testers for Calsonic, a supplier to Nissan. Wire harnesses are normally very well made and extensively tested.
I would like to see if we could develop a resource on the site which would be a listing of known good eco diesel repair shops. This would include known good independents and dealers. For example, the dealer near me never ordered an ECO because they did not want to deal with it, but they do...
ah! Canadian (those KM's gave you away) yeah, you have no restriction on buying the exhaust. Our EPA down here is just getting a bit aggressive on diesel delete parts.
I have been running the GDE tune since 5k miles, and as soon as I do the recall update I am doing the delete as well. It has gotten to be quite the chase to find the Flo Pro turbo back exhaust. Lots of filter back exhausts out there though. Nice looking truck! You are happy with it so I...
