Hey Treadwellwayne,
I have the 2015 and i have never had a problem. The reason why (i believe) is I am using the aftermarket tune from Green Diesel Engineeering. It turns off the EGR valve which dumps tons of soot in your oil. It also handles regeneration better which keeps diesel fuel from...
Moparpartsgiant sells the long block for $4,159.99 but the whole engine for $12,750.00. If vern got the who thing he got a great deal.

thanks! I am looking forward to the 2019 / 2020 eco to see what parts change. I am hoping for improved main bearings, rods and maybe better software. I will be very interested in seeing someone like yourself do an engine tear down and see what's in there. Maybe some of those parts may make...

Hey TC, can you explain what you mean?
I use the fuel filter wrench from Geno's Garage along with the drain plug from Geno's. When I remove the drain plug I get out about a pint (+/-). Still, when I remove the filter housing I would get a diesel bath on my arm using the Geno's wrench. I decided I would invent a new tool using the...
If you have a currently leaking EGR cooler, the answer then seems to be to pull it out, put it in a box and when you get your recall notice hand it to the service manager and tell him to put in a good one.
Makes me believe nothing was ever wrong with your oil cooler...
Message TC Diesel and ask him what he would do about the claim. I still believe the EGR and cooler are under warranty until 80k.
and not to question the fine work at most dealerships, but did they change the oil? Other than that I would watch it to see if it keeps going and then I suspect your EGR cooler.
Is there oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil? That would rule out the oil cooler. what I read (this code has been discussed here before a few times) is it is related to the oil vapor pressure sensor and the oil cooler misbehaving.
Well, tell us what has been troubling it and then tell us your driving habits. ie city driving, mixed, highway, etc.
the recall includes the emissions control systems of the 2014 yes, and also 3100 back into your wallet.
