The truck well derate around 240 coolant and 270 oil. If your oil is 230 crusing that's fine. Our fans come on at 221 (coolant) or at least they did before the oil fiscao.
Looking at the photo you need to have your truck on a level surface before checking. It's clearly not level there. Now a truck should never need the coolant topped off, if it's low there something wrong.
Your not understanding what I said john that drain well only drain the inside of the filter aka where the water seperator is built into. Yes once the water is gone diesel well then follow. But even then there well still be some diesel between the outside of the filter and the canister. If...
It's designed to only drain the water and fuel that collects inside the filter. If you want to drain the whole filter housing you have to loosen the filter housing and break the seal. That's just how it is.
There is no factory drain on the fuel filter that is only there to drain the water out. As far as filter change interval I'm doing 15k because I started to notice poor perfmance issues around 18K and light smoke at wot. But I also run a B20 blend most of the time.
The radiator isnt so much the issue its how high our egts run. If you lower your egts you well lower your engine temps and extend its life expectancy. One thing you can do that helps some is to use a free flowing wire mesh grill.
35's fit with a 4 inch lift made by BDS suspension, but those wheels you mentioned don't belong on your truck. If you want that combo to fit get out the sawzall and plan on fixing stuff a lot.
My oil cooler failed at 13xxx mikes and fca denied my warranty claim so I fixed it myself. The cooling systems in our trucks are a nightmare and most tech's just aren't willing to spend the time to do it correctly (aka not how fca recommends). They don't actually flush the system, they use a...
Back when I had my 1999 dodge with the 24v cummins I tried every diesel additive I could find and the only two that "fixed my issue, sticking advance cam in the vp44) were Amsoil and 2 stroke oil. Now I wouldn't recommend adding 2 stroke oil to our trucks fuel, so I can only recommend one...
