New to forum with gen 3 questions

I try to always get my fuel from the same, high volume Irving dealer near my house. I also keep every fuel receipt incase of contaminated fuel. I don't typically drive that fast. Towing it's always 60-65mph. Other than that I usually do the speed limits. Yu will find that the truck gets...

    To AEM or Not

First thing is check your VIN for the AEM and then create an account on mopar.com and check for recalls. https://www.mopar.com/en-us/my-vehicle/recalls/eco-diesel-warranty.html

    To AEM or Not

Get the AEM and use the money to get the GDE tune. My 15 had a bad experience with the AEM. I resolved it but I'm convinced that it subconsciously pushed me to buy a 2020 Gen 3 rather than wait a couple of years.

    EGR cooler and reflash?

There is no flash required as part of the EGR recall. They may ask you if you want VA7 but, at least with my dealer, they do only what I authorize.

Who has a 2020 eco? Any issues yet?

Who has a 2020 eco? Any issues yet?

Yes, this time it was off the EVIC but my experience with the '15 is that it was very accurate within a few tenths. I record every fuel up on Fuelly so that every tank is hand calculated. I have gotten 16mpg towing this trailer on back country roads at low speeds but driving the hilly New...

Who has a 2020 eco? Any issues yet?

So I did a 200 mi round trip towing my 7k+ camper loaded for dry camping and 7 long guns, 6 revolvers and a ton of ammo for a shooting match, The rifles were in the back seat and the bed contained a grill, 2 generators, 5 gal of gas, and a gun cart so it was moderately loaded. Towing was smooth...

It's Official! EGR Recall notice to me from NHTSA

I had mine replaced 20k miles ago but the replacements suffer from the same bad design so we're not safe from another failure.

    Service Electronic Throttle Control

Just had the Service Electronic Throttle code again. About the same weather conditions as last year. Just finished a 140 mile tow, truck was parked for a half hour, then started it to go to my daughters to let out the dog...less than a mile (very similar situation last year too) when I...

average MPG towing with the ecodiesel

I pull a 7k lb, 30' camper and here in hilly New England I've gotten about 14mpg. I have had short runs of 15-16 but I believe 14 is my average. With my 5klb camper I got 17mpg on multiple tows.

    Send 'n Go

I just noticed that I can now send an address that I google on my phone (or directly in the Uconnect app) to Uconnect and it will sent it to my truck. Once I start my truck it asks me if I want to begin navigation....works great I do wish I could send from my Desktop since that's where I tend...

How often do you see other ecodiesels??

Every once in awhile I run into another White Laramie. White seems to be popular here in New England as I have not seen one of another color. Interestingly enough, while making my weekly dump run a guy in a 3500 Hemi stopped to chat about my truck. That happens a lot, it's almost like driving...
