No real update. I haven't towed again since the last time and we were too late in making reservations so I'm not going out again until the 8th of July Have a 2.5 hour tow up north for a weekend of shooting, bourbon and cigars ;)
I did have a leaky valve stem so I replaced the valve. I then...
Actually I think that my current trailer has a low enough tongue weight that the Ram pulls it fine without the bags. I'm considering a heavier trailer so maybe they will make more of a noticeable difference there.
OI hooked up the trailer and inflated the bags to return the truck to its stock rake as it had settled about 1.5" with the trailer connected.. I set off on a short 38 mile tow to the campsite ( 60% city). 17mpg and a smooth ride but honestly I did not notice any difference using the bags vs...
I've towed my camper once two weeks ago without them, and will be towing tomorrow with. Big difference in route though so I probably won't be able to compare. Tomorrow is all highway and the last trip was all bumpy, winding back roads.
I wanted to install bags but I did not want to compromise my cushy ride since I tow only a dozen times a year and my truck is mostly a commuter. I selected the Total Load Control bags because all the Youtube videos as well as the advertizing on their page claimed that they only connected one...
There are probably plenty of folks who would like to know if this works. I love the Laramie climate control. Just set the temp once and forget. My Ridgeline had the same and it was nice to not have cold air blowing on my as it would not turn on the fan until there was heat. I hope the Ram...
Nothing too big...don't want the fold out beds...too much setup and drying out. Something around 25-27' overall and between 4500-5500lbs. Slide outs a must.
You can get the same size trailer for 2Klbs less now a days.
Everything from Towing, camping, loaded with wood pellets a half ton at a time though I bet I could have taken a ton, dirt, mulch and more. Wasn't used on a construction site but was an absolutely great homeowner's truck. Where I live it's off to the dump every weekend and I would tote my gun...
I got the bugs worked out with my OBDLink LX and it's working good. I like the fact that I don't have the extra gadget cluttering my dash. I'm not saying that I wont eventually get one but for now I'm OK.
I actually almost bought the CS because I liked the clean install (CTS sticking to the...
I guess it depends on where you look. This page, http://www.ramtrucks.com/en/towing_guide/, lists the Crew 4x4 Laramie at 7200lbs for 3.55 and 7450 for 3.92 and a Tradesman 4x4 all the way up to 8550 w/3.92
While I can afford it, I'm having a difficult time reconciling that the OEM tires suck (at least what I've read). My Honda came with Michelins
I don't find a reasonable priced Winter tire set on Tire Rack yet either....plus I need to do some research on winter tires. My Wife's Sorento with...
I traded a Honda Ridgeline. It was a great mini truck and handled the snow like it was dry pavement. Mileage wasn't great and sucked when towing.
I love my new Ram but will probably really miss the Honda in the snow.
So I purchased an OBDII adapter for 9 bucks on Amazon and I have EGT1, DPF % Full, Regen on/off and other parameters using the $5 Torque app.
Not sure I need much else.
Hi Folks,
Traded a Ridgeline for a white Laramie EcoDiesel. I love it.
New to the diesel world and I'm anxious to pull my camper with it for the first time.
