Ford has a large recall on F150 trucks for fire issues, so does GM, and Honda Ridgeline, and the US mail delivery trucks are burning, also I guess the answer is don't own a truck or maybe ride a bike, be well insured, and keep your truck properly maintained
I will be using ZF fluid as the manufacture knows what to use, I have another brand car with the ZF 8speed have done that one already, why use something not approved ZF fluid is not that expensive
Remember when the Ford 6.0 came out, they were the best money could buy they sold like hot cakes, and look what happened to them, why would anyone want a new GM diesel that has zero track record, maybe 4-5 years down the road
I think the Dealer is on the hook for 12 months, just take it back they may have someone else in the shop do it, a water pump isn't that hard to do right
All diesels have black oil 50 miles after oil change, has little to do with EGR, they did this long before EGR was invented, just service it when it is required and don't worry about it
The only stuff I have found is marketing material from the manufacture, nothing from an end user. I think in my case I will just live with the truck in stock condition, it only gets driven 7-8000 miles a year, when it does it's highway miles, I have a oil catch can that keeps the oil out of the...
Would you happen to know if all 3 companies tunes turns off the EGR function?, they never talk about that on their websites, GDE I cant but in California, maybe one of the others I can just ship it to my Brother in Arizona
I don't see what how many per week has much to do with anything, how many 1500 Rams with the Eco have be produced since 2014?, maybe 120000?, 7% failure on the total sold would be over 8000 engines, have 8000 trucks had engine replacement?, I don't think so
Well if it only happens when towing your trailer it has to be the trailer, a wind buffeting issue, a load on the driveline, have you towed a different trailer?, what is this trailer ?, utility, travel trailer?, I if it was me would go find a trailer of similar weight and start there, this may be...
Your 1st post didn't say anything about you had towed it 1000 times prior with a F150. How long have you owned this Ram?, the year, condition?,miles?, lifted?, large tires? does it do it when not towing?, is the rear of the truck squatted down some when towing?, size of the trailer and weight...
No not 11000 miles I installed it with about 6000 miles on it I think, I tow nothing just drive it more like a car than a truck, if I towed it would be a 6.7 Cummins, not a 3.0 Ecodiesel
Just an update, now have just over 11000 miles, yes I know it doesn't get driver much, I drained the catch can, about a table spoon of oil came out that is good rather not have it in the intake, no cels ever looks like it works fine
