The Ecodeisel CP4 pump recall results from the pump being a problem on the Cummins engines. NHTSA caused that safety recall. Then, because the Ecodiesel was using the same pump, even though its failure rate was less than 1%, the Z46 recall was issued.

What is the gain over using Ram's recommended oil? I see no reason to deviate. And how does he know that the 15w-20 is giving "no ill reactions"? He won't know until he has a problem

You are not being "blown off". It's the HPFP Z46 safety recall, it has to be done. You will get a letter saying the parts are available, it may take awhile
Ecodiesel vehicles built before June 2016 specs were changed in June 2016 to use 5w-40 oil and recommended Rotella T-6 or equivalent. Engine failures have nothing to do with brands of oil, only viscosity.
The best fossil fuel available has less lubricity than European fuel and the quality varies considerably in many areas. It has been attributed to the CP4 failures, thus the recommendations to use a lubricity-adding additive.
That's a great hitch but the pictured head is not a Sway Control head. You probably already know, when properly set up it should nearly lift the truck rear to its unloaded height. The bars should be parallel to the trailer frame. not angled down or up and the trailer should be level or down at...
Yes, The CTS3 can tell you the DEF being used, the demand, its % Urea, etc. The CTS2 I believe only monitors the SCR temp (EGT4)
