    Burning the old oil?

That's old school, before EPA and emissions systems/equipment. Many would add an ashless 2-stroke outboard motor oil for it's lubricity. Adding drained oil was probably doing the same thing but dirtier. Try it in today's close tolerance, high-pressure injected engines and I believe you'll...

    Chronic Ecodiesel emissions issues.

Welcome to the forum The newest Edge CTS3 will do all that you mention except initiate a regen An Edge CTS2 will do it all and initiate a regen. I use a CTS2 on my 2016 1500 ECO's daily driver short-hop local trips. Whenever the CTS2 shows 65% soot level the Eco will regen. When it gets to 64%...

    High Pressure Fuel Pump

They just completed mine. Tubes and filter were also replaced. They do not flash the Ecodiesel ECU for the HPFP replacement, they only flash for the Cummins replacement.

    Eco diesel oil filter

FYI regarding euro oil for the Ecodiesel. In April 2023 a member of another forum called VM Motori, the Ecodiesel manufacturer, he asked them what is the best oil for his Ecodiesel. They said: "Synthetic European oil, 5w-40, MS-12991". MS-12991 is the important factor. I know that Quaker...

    Dealership States Blown Head Gasket

Yes, it would be more effective. SFT's charge for a new tune would be at least 50.00. And with their record, in all probability they would probably screw it up and the battle would begin.

    Dealership States Blown Head Gasket

Wouldn't it be easier and more efficient to have your SFT Stage 1 w/EGR off and when time for a smog test merely load the stock tune?

Wont crank warm or hot-Runs perfectly and starts cold

Bosch is still made in Germany

    Dealership States Blown Head Gasket

Just an FYI Over the years my regen completion mileages have varied all over the map, but the average thus far is 13 miles.

    Dealership States Blown Head Gasket

That analysis and cost doesn't make sense to me. I'd find another dealer.

Wont crank warm or hot-Runs perfectly and starts cold

I've had starters do that. Usually, it's a bad spot on the armature and with a couple of turns it may find a good spot. I had one that it wasn't a bad spot, I had to carry water to cool it down, and then it would start. In all cases the fix was to replace the starter. You can rule out the...

    Eco diesel oil filter

I wouldn't expect the filter unless it's some Chinese knockoff. I would more expect it wasn't tightened properly and came loose on the road to Baja. You are lucky it didn't happen while driving, it could have lunched the engine. The dealer owes you one

Thanks. I learned something today. The posts implied they were one and the same. Will correct my notes

    Fuel pressure regulator

FCA (Fuel Control Actuator OR FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) I don't know, but a member on another forum recently said it's located on the HPFP. And he posted this picture.

Class Action Law Suits over High Pressure Fuel Pump

Sorry, you've had the problems. You should be glad that they replaced the blown pumps. That pump's failure rate is less than 1%, I wonder why you've had two go bad?

Class Action Law Suits over High Pressure Fuel Pump

It's a Z46 recall and applies to 2014-19 Ecodiesels. It is a "fix" as it replaces your existing HPFP. Whatever dealer told you it's a "no fix" recall is a dealer to stay away from. I don't see where the Hyundai is at fault, they told you the truth. What's the lawyer going to do, you have no case.

    Good morning EGR ,Help

The GDE tune doesn't turn off the EGR. SFT is dishonest and incompetent. The main tuner for turning off the EGR or stage 2 deleting is MRT via EOC. They take orders or communicate via email at [email protected]

Looks like they are ignoring their previous dealer instructions.
