Then consider selling, at some point the Market is going to Go BOOM.... I know of Trucking companies That are closing their Doors because The On-Road Equipment is bringing Top $$$.
Thats Just Dealership hype and bait and switch, By the way My 2019 Limited 5.7L with 28K miles is worth More than I paid for it in 2019 at current market value. Go and check it out and report back. Why pay $7200.00 a year for something you don't use or plan on using and with DSL being $5.00+...
I would spend the $ on OAs, The VM 3.0 is among the most rotating mass failure rates in modern day Diesels. I'm sure aftermarket kits OAs will parallel OEM filtration. If you have a Hero Build it will extend the longevity but a Zero build will puke W/WO additional filtration.
You are completely going about this wrong...Thier is no lift pressure sensor in any Ram 1500...you do have RP sensor...desired will be around 3300psi during cranking.....and when running 4000psi +-200psi..
Your entire approach is incorrect......How did you check the feed Pressure? 314PSI is incorrect, it takes a minimum 2200PSI to operate and 1800PSI to start the style of injector VM uses in 3.0 Rams.
Milkmaze, your situation is happening far to often...No, if you do have extended Warranty Fiat will be un willing to help. For all the reader and viewers if you own VM3.0 Have $$$$ set aside for replacement engine, if you never use great. This is the only way in most cases after warranty expires...
likely the Coolant exchanger on Drivers side engine, Unless you have extended Warranty its not covered, and can Destroy the rotating mass of engine (Generally if cot early and fixed its avoidable) , HOAT/ OAT coolant mixed with Engine lube with CAL creates micro sand balls, Some early engines...
I believe it's the same shift handles as the Jeep Grand Cherokee has... I had the shift control buttons on My 2015 ED Laramie, My 2019 Ram Limited also has the Button on right side of Column.
msb1288 any logical or factual data , evidence on 2014 being more problematic year other than your opinion?. Good Engine hygiene is not practice in with other power plants, yet the millions of other power plants are not plagued with repeated problems because their dirty. I agree good engine...
If it does not come with OAs I would move on, Pay $$$$$ and if it pukes up are so upside down, its just to risky. 3,700 Total Thats 44 MPH Avg +900 Idle NO way, the engines on its down side for Life and will cost $$$$ in future repairs.
Rizzr4. its Fiat VM that's the problem, Ram is not.... Ram Wanted Fiat to not bring VM 3.0 to N/A, but Fiat did it anyways.... I hope this additional failure does not hurt beyond the $$$$. My guess the 2022/23 will be the last Year for 1/2 Ton DSL Rams and VM.
Rizza54, its common knowledge that the VM 3.0 is Hero or Zero Status. It's NOT worth the risk to buy another...IMO..There are 1000s of 2014-18 Ram VM3.0 pickups on 3Rd Motor. The only reason 2020-22 Ram VM 3.0 frequency of failures are not posting is the sells #s is rock bottom...
