Welcome to the forum.
I am a fan of tuning but not of deleting, so I'm no help there. Do some searching, there's lots of info.
I do the fishing and logging road thing every year in eastern Oregon with my brothers. Used to elk hunt, now it's camera shooting and trout fishing.
Help me out. You say the diesel 2 year mark is because of deleters. Deleters have not been able to get registered in any smog zip code for several years. So they don't exist (legally). What makes you say that?
Stiction Eliminator already has FR3 in it. Never thought about adding more FR3. Sorta like adding LX4 to EDT (it already has LX4 in it). A good idea, thanks
CAVEMAN,
I also use HOT SHOTS SECRET EDT plus LX4 every tank. And, HOT SHOTS DIESEL EXTREME, only once a year because of low annual miles.
I used to sell additives (except Hot Shots) and used what I sold. The top one was Archoil. Archoil developed a stiction additive (AR9100) early on...
I tried Toyos once, mainly because my high mileage neighbor swore by them. They were good as long as the pavement or dirt was dry but let it be wet and they were like ice skates.
Yep! There are lots of other tires that are as good or better than Michelins. Most at less cost.
Just be sure you buy what's rated for how you will use them.
I'm only replying because you said you've "never heard".
I too was a believer in Michelin Defenders for many years. Then I had one separate its tread at 65mph. Caused $3600 in damage to my pristine Ford F350. Discount tried as hard as they could for reimbursement, Michelin refused any help...
I believe the Mopar filter's smaller particles (measured in microns) than the others, and that's what Ram wants or requires. No need to panic, you are filtering, just not the best.
