Post your fuel economy and I can tell. [emoji23] Just kidding.
They look like they're wearing pretty good. I have 36k miles on the OEM Goodyear SRA's and I'm already stressing out about my next tire purchase. Your info helps in that decision. Thanks.

So their fix was to clear the codes, change oil, and send you on your way? Twice??? Did they perform any updates to the ECM?
Sounds to me like you should see a different dealership.
Sorry you're having troubles...

Well I didn't post a thread on it because it really is as advertised. Turbo lag gone, adaptive cruise control, power & mileage increase yada yada yada. Only thing I did different then most is I drove up to their shop and had the tune done in person. Very knowledgeable crew there at GDE.

Yea, the one I read was very vague to say the least.

Lord, if a new, true, half ton Ram diesel was offered with a 'C' on the side AND could get the mileage this VM does (with proper tuning), Ram couldn't build them fast enough...
How's that for speculation???

Something is screwy with that oil life monitor. Has it been reset? I thought it was just a numerical countdown from last reset. How many kms on your current oil and filter change? I would ride it out to YOUR desired interval, change oil & filter, reset the OLM and then see how it acts.
Anyhow...
You know, you guys could always just take the high road. Read what you want, skip what you don't. Take it all with a grain of salt.
Posting you think someone is a moron and blah blah blah is just as bad as what you are calling out. And for the record, TC knows more about this motor then 99% of...
Good exchange of philosophies here guys. It's nice to see this can be done without elementary school name calling and such.
Honestly, TC's viewpoint is spot on, albeit extreme. I don't believe GDE tuning is causing failures tho, so it's not like those tuned are taking blown motors into FCA...
I second that feeling. Nothing fun to report here weather wise either. If it's gonna be winter, bring the winter on....

I wouldn't stress about a bad hub. It happens across all IFS 4wd trucks. Sometimes they just fail. More so for driving in rough elements and bigger, wider tires...
What was the verdict? A simple hub replacement isn't more then 2 hours tops if things go smoothly...

$50 for a refresh of a previously flashed tune. But to have a 2nd, seperate flashed ECM is an additional purchase. IE big $$$.
Lots of people keep their stock OEM to swap in when they visit a dealer or have problems unexpectedly. Just an expensive paper weight in my opinion.

Doesn't work that way. The 'tune' is bench flashed to the ECM. You can't just update it through the OBD port. You actually swap them out.
Although you could have a backup GDE tuned ECM, but it'll cost you. Total would be 2 tunes AND a spare ECM which aren't cheap either.
Please correct me if...
Have you looked at www.mopar.com? I think the manual can be downloaded from that site...
Personally, I'm going to change my differential fluids around 50k.
