Using the Edge Insight CTS 2

OP, did you ever get the Edge? Thoughts? 3 months since I posted in this thread, I did a 180 and ordered the CS2. Oh well, what can I say, I'm curious... My question is, can anyone recommend a pillar mount? Specifically a part number? I've searched around and am drawing a blank as to which...

Who is towing what with their Ecodiesel?

Wintertime I don't tow much. Maybe a trailer full here and there of miscellaneous crap. This spring I have a big patio to build so it'll get some good work in then. But the other 3 seasons I drag this light setup around. It can't weigh more than 3500#. It's hardly noticeable to pull. Might have...

    December Giveaway

December has been a busy month for me. That said I would definitely like to contribute more, but most of you have much greater knowledge of this truck. So my posts are more like of the 'beer in hand standing around the garage' variety so I hold those back a lil bit as not to cloud the topics...

found a set of Aluminum 17" stock rims w/ sensors for 300.00

Back to topic, nice find. Pretty sure I'm going to go that route when these SRAs get another year on them. 20" wheels just aren't my flavor on this truck for some reason.

found a set of Aluminum 17" stock rims w/ sensors for 300.00

Lucky man. Ohio should adopt that no-salt policy. Salt and brine on the roadways is definitely not good on the waterways. Couple that with field runoff of Nitrogen, and we are devastating the most precious resource we have. Run a plow, clear a path. Drivers will adapt without the chemical...

Thanks! And that tucks behind the grille and in front of the shutters cleanly? Do you have a non-Facebook link to what they're working on? Sorry for all the questions, I'm genuinely curious.....

    Reported problems on the EcoDiesel

MHarrison, walk us through the steps on said install of remote oil cooler. Not step by step I guess, but what would it take? Could a run of the mill, weekend wrencher do such a thing?

    The "GLORY" of a Tune

My step-fathers '04 Allison let go at 104,000 miles. He has a lift, 35s, and a plug in tune. He drives like crap. Hammers on gas, slams on brakes. My wife won't ride with him, I only do if necessary. My kids will not. He was pulling their 32' camper up to the Amish country when she grenaded...

    Engine Block Heater

Tank burst - Have you heard/seen this scenario? I find this hard to believe 1) being its a plastic tank that would expand and 2) I don't think it's possible to fill it so full there's no room left for expansion. I'm not busting your chops, I just can't buy into that theory I guess.

    Engine Block Heater

As far as the electric usage, my house is all electric, so the bill is always too high, but no noticeable bump for the slim time I've plugged it in.

Good deal Capt. Fill us in on all the glory once you get it up and running.

    Anyone using GDE tuning ??

I'm going to go with GDE, it's just a matter of finding the right time for the wallet. The thing I'm most interested in is the increase in regeneration intervals and tuning out the EGR. Anything else is a bonus. Thinking maybe I can pull the trigger early spring.

    Engine Block Heater

Mharrison, I use a timer. It is set to come on around 4hrs before I usually take off for work. That is plenty of time to heat things up.
