Good to know. My intentions are to keep rolling with OEM size (or close as I can get) as well. I see BFGs in my future. Appreciate the info once again.
About the KO2s Seiko, read some reports you made but might've missed it; any info on negative mpg impact? I assume some because of increase in weight per tire, as well as rolling resistance. Just curious if you have any numbers?
I don't buy that. The oil temp is spot on and the coolant temp displayed by Edge is consistently low, not low as in its just slow in catching up with the actual reading. From my understanding the Edge just reads the trucks sensors correct?
GM transfer here as well. I was waiting on the 4.5L Dmax. If that engine would've been produced, I wouldn't be here today. But after a half year or so in the EcoD, I'm glad I pulled the trigger. Just remember tho, especially coming from the heavy trucks, these aren't a 3/4ton. Welcome & enjoy...
So do you watch a certain EGT before shutdown, if so which one? What is your comfort zone degree wise?
Appreciate all your posts Seiko. You're an asset to this forum.
Is the EGT(#) for turbo inlet the PID used to monitor turbo temps for a sufficient cool down period?
What is an acceptable turbo temperature for shutdown? Yes, I've read the cool down chart in the manual, just would like to relate that to real world experience.
There is a lot to learn with...
So I finally finished the CS2 install on my last day of a too short vacation. For those that are curious, I'll post a quick summary. Pardon the subpar pictures and crap grammar...
-use a nylon pry tool to flip down the bolt covers of the A-pillar
-remove the 2- 10mm bolts; pull cover up and...
Most of the times, you won't know it's happening, it's really a seamless operation. You'll only get a EVIC message if the DPF(?) is 90% full, then it'll ask you to maintain driving habits to let the regeneration process take place. Hope that helps.
BTW- I have a '15 with approx 13k miles and...
Brand new, you'll get lots of smells. It's just labels, oils, and grease burning off from assembly. Could also be in the regeneration process. I'd give it awhile before you start to worry.
renewal101, I was curious about you not seeing temp read outs. I have the BigHorn too, and even on the individual gauge screen it reads out numerically, which I wasn't for sure it did. So can you please pics of gauge you have? Curious like a cat....
A babe of the day thread would be nice. [emoji6]
Other then that, I can't think of anything. I really enjoy this forum and all those who participate.
Thanks for your time & effort BoostN.
