It is possible the dealership just needs to transfer a code to be active in the truck. Most techs will have no clue what you're talking about but look around on the regular ram forums and the codes are out there for different styles of the drl whether it be running lamp or half power high beams...
The computer will never calculate a change based on duty cycle that's solely operator discretion. So be aware of what you're doing to your engine. Better safe than sorry. And Shop around for oils that meet spec. It can be had much less than the $200 dealer oil change. Mine run about 80 for oil...
May I quote? Because nobody knows. But "contact d&j diesel to have them bulletproof your ecodiesel and to see what they do/did" ~trade secret~
Honestly unknown why Shawn is so secretive of whatever he did
I got extremely lucky and I actually travelled 350 miles to a dealer that provides lifetime powertrain Warranty. But it's for original owner only unless you trade in to them under 100k they can resell with the same Warranty below 100k. That being said I still bought a 7 year 100k bumper to...
Kendall seems pretty popular.
Alternative the penzoil or liquimoly which are the cheapest available oils,
On the higher end of the spectrum is the Mobil 1 ESP.
I personally run champion syngold from Autoanything. They provide a little better price than advertised for me and I've had no oil...
Using a different weight oil and mopar warranty just sounds like a nightmare. But to each their own. I guess there's guys out of warranty running t6. Which is a very good oil but not spec.
Shawn what are you running now that your engine has gone through everything that it has? @moparecodiesel
I haven't seen any failures that I know to have used aftermarket Filters other than yours and I don't know of anyone that has had failure that has run non 5-30. Though dealers hung failures pending proof of spec oil 5-30.
Trust me don't expect to keep your engine warranty if 5w40 touches that truck. If that doesn't effect you then I'm sure it will handle it fine. But pending there is an issue you're strictly out of pocket.
And you can't compare an 06 powerstroke to this engine in any way when it comes to...
Same goes for ultimate liners which is what is sprayed at the factory in Warren. It does not blackwash or get chalky. I know what you mean.
Every dealer will send you to line-x to Repair factory spray in and they are wrong to do so. But linex is cheaper. 75/tailgate. But there are many places...
Holy shit I searched high and low and even fought with fca to try and get this information for re coating the tailgate I need. Low and behold you found factory match.
Truly thankful. By the way this bed liner is fantastic. We were considering skinning my tailgate instead of replacing it just...
Next thing you know because it is Nissan after all of course, will be a CVT bolted to the Cummins in the "next generation truck"
Good luck to that holding up
Haha I read that backwards. Texas to Minnesota. Well I'm up here in cold weather Country but yes the block heater isn't too necessary in your area but it's nice to have coolant already at 70~ degrees when it is cool during the night.
I've seen a virtually identical gasser of mine but it was a short box, coil springs, no roof and had filigree leather. So other than a being the same color combo it was a whole nother beast
We prefer it to our x5 as well, a lot better than the 4.4 drinking premium though it's nice for running to Work in a hurry!
63 is a good speed especially with air suspension as it goes to Aero then. If you slow down to 58-60 you'll see another MPG or possibly 2 pending it's worth you slowing...
Consider disconnecting shocks and compressing springs, adding the cookie/Puck, (spacer) and then a 75-100$ alignment, it's not terrible. I mean you can always do it cheaper but if you're buying tools it adds up just the same really.
You just need to take into consideration that if it's not a large enough diameter hole then it will be no different than the factory valve that gets vapor locked and doesn't actually drain
@moparecodiesel what are you up to on hours and miles?
You know; the Actual use of your truck?
Just curious but would you care to tally up all the issues you've had? Not alterations you've made just because but manufacturer effects or issues?
2 oil coolers; thermal modulator for transmission...
