Yes, blown engine at 77.5k miles without FCA support due to banks bullet. Tone ring on crank went but was covered. Needless to say joined emissions class action to come out even i hope....

83k New engine under the warranty as I type this, I bought it with 63k July 2019 7 months ago overheated and ear faliure replace under warranty 4 weeks ago P04db triggered the engine light to come on, no oil on the coolant but the mpg dropped from 17.5 to 14 around tow and light overheating up hills to abut 219 degrees, dealer condemned the main computer as a protocol step from Ram but, the tech said it may need it an engine, new computer didn't fixed and tech found coolant on cylinder 6. ram aproved a new engine replacement at no cost thank god!!! the truck came with a transferable molar warranty until 2023 or 120k with a $200 deductible.
now jus wondering how should I start maintenance from zero miles engine eany suggestion is appreciated
!! cheers Julian Locatelli
ps: I used edt at every full tank and occasional b20 fuel tank

The paste and Copy kings are no more than the same messages for 5 years from the same sources that the 3.0 has no problems. Their's no evidence that the changes to the 3.0 to support increase longevity. Their are 2019 Owners that are on 2nd engine with same problems back to 2014 on 2nd Engine. Upgrading to missing parts eliminates most of the combustion related problems. OP their is no evidence to support that the new power plant is any better than the one that puke, its the same risk.
These claims of 2nd 3rd whatever Gen are found only in marketing< most Knowledgeable Dsl enthusiast don't support changes unless major changes are done to Power plant. and that's just not the Case to VM3.0 until 2020.

Just to give an example of Gen time frames for 5.9/6.7l Cummins 1989-98.5 1Gen, 1998.5-2002 2Gen, 2003-2007 3Gen, 2007.5-18 4Gen
2019- to current 5th Gen many argue that the 2019 does NOT have enough changes to warrant 5Gen. these are engine Gens ,Body style follows different year scale. 1998.5 You could order both the 12Valve and the 24Valve up to late Sept. the 24Valve was only available after Oct 1998.

Guaranteed not the issue!!!!

Correct, the Banks Bullet is a Pressure Power adder, I ran the Bullet for 3.25 years and monitored its behavior. if any one believes that the Bullet caused BM failure , I need to in form You if you have Children I fathered them, that's more believable than Banks causing BM failure.

Their are 10s of 1000s of puked 3.0 identical to BM's W/O the to Bullet to blame.

Just inherited my fathers 2016 Laramie ED. He purchased it in june of 2016. It is Delmonico Red with black interior. It is 4wd with 3.92 gears. Today it has only 14400 miles on it. Oil changed every 5000 miles. I am about to get the Goodyear SRA's off and go with the Pathfinder AT'S all terrain from Discount Tire. I have them on my 2016 ram 1500 hemi 2wd. At 31000 miles they still have half tread and have performed very well.
