I drove mine for a month until I traded. I did NOT experience the Lag or the loss in MPG, So My guess is driving habits play a big part in MPG. Some drive the ED like a gas Motor and dart drive, So the AEM to meet CAA probably has more TQ mgnt to lower NOx to near 0 PPM.
Icbuilder, I would be doing OAs, was the EGR external Leaking or internal, if Internal and enough to destroy your water pump, OAT and CAL are a lethal combination and create lube that's very abrasive.
Jager, according to John I'm on his Ignore list for NOT agreeing with Him.....Just thought I would give Ya a heads up, he likes to disagree and expects you to Justify Your Opinion.
My 2014, 2015, 2019 Ram 1500s, 2017 2018 Jeep Summits All Air-ride and No problems, All of them stay in the heated/cooled Shop that's de-humidified and Air filtered. So I would agree extreme outside environment does have effect on the system.
Thats a Million $ question, If you get water in Diesel (Beside emulsified) it almost needs to be drained within Hrs....IMO its mute and is only used to intact you have water.
You can use any Fuel filter temporally, the WIX oil filter is fine just don't leave it in past 10K Miles. Its a canister style filter... Changing Lube and its starts up, I don't see the connection....weird to say the least.
It depends on the Dealer, if they tip FCA on deletes, it will be voided. This is my same reply.
Factory warranty Voided emissions
Maybe I can clear this UP, GM All makers Must meet the certification REQUIRED by Federal Law. The instant YOU delete / defeat ON/OFF road use (The only exception...
TooClose , Over the Decades I have lost ALL faith in the word "Engineer" The most Powerful Diesel's in the World are built by Private Innovations. NONE I know of have titles, Just Spokesmen.
On the Other Hand there's wisdom to be found in multitude of counselors.
If that's the Case it still should start. Changing the oil is 1 in 1 million to change a no start, Check the Fuel filter, generally when dirty engines loose performance, it still should start, UNLESS the fuel was contaminated and damage to the HPCR System causing No start.
You never Checked the lube in 8000 Miles on a new purchase... WOW...Back to your No Start, as mentioned tone ring one possibility another is the in tank lift Fuel PUMP , ED owners run their tanks down to empty and all that hot fuel dumps on the Pump form Injectors and Pump returns. Now if that...
It would be extremely unlikely Turbo braking would harm any Turbo UNLESS the Turbo was already on its way to self-destruct. Their is NO connection to decreasing Your mileage with VGT Braking....Their no such person as a Diesel consultant, either you know your stuff or not , Consultant just...
You need to drive it at Hwy speeds for 8-12 miles ASAP if it reaches 100% you will trigger limb mode and Need stationary de-sooting requiring WITECH.....Go on Hwy ASAP and DRIVE HWY SPEEDS.
Getting bad DEF is equal to a hurricane in MN, Dealers / FCA use it add the cost burden to the owner $$$$$ in most cases. I ran Distilled Water in My ED for 3 years mixed 10-15% Urea..... NEVER received any BAD DEF message. We also tested (Retail) DEF stored at Shop temp that was5 - 7 Years old...
