Cooper the way to go, ATW ($750 usd for a set from tirecrawler) if you can afford it, XT4 if you're on a budget. Your country is what they are DESIGNED for!
Hell 10 free oil changes/checkups is quite a bit of incentive from a dealer to keep you around when you figure in cost. Even with a more readily available less specialty oil
I've come to learn it's just our color the prairie Pearl that doesn't look good for the topper transition. I saw a leer on a black dodge and it made it look much closer fitting
Just personal preference and the color scheme of my truck but I changed my badging to Jeep emblems instead of the ram. Pictures are a little poor but here it goes:
Within reason yes, those are normal temps to see in those ambient temperatures and that high of a workload. Empty or not it's a lot of mass to keep moving 80MPH
Dealers here for ram have the programmer in the truck for any modified vehicles. Rams computer module only houses speed calibrations for the various different tire dimensions offered on various trim levels of ram

The guys that are putting on a lot of miles don't seem to have as many problems in my opinion. And few are still just bad apples. I've got 33k since 05/2015 without a single mechanical issue. Change the oil and fuel filter. That's it
But the ordering process is absolutely worth the wait opposed to settling for dealer stock.
And at the top corner of your window sticker you get the stamp that the truck was built especially for (insert your name here)
I don't know for sure but a possible problem could be the factory harness. Do you have a light out error message? The factory harness isn't designed for the power output of LED or HID so powering the bulbs with a separate harness is recommended.
Though the oddity of behavior in your lights may...
Maybe you can find a functional button oem from the dealer or online and then wire it through to a relay harness instead. Worst case scenario those blanks would be the perfect spot to drill and put in a push button lighted switch or a round 3 way rocker maybe? Your preference of course
