I use it frequently..it takes about 40 secs on average to un lock /lock..Ive used it for starting in the afternoon at work when it was still pushing 100 deg here in Az...havin your truck AND seat cool is ..well cool!
Wrong....I just looked on my sticker I kept fron the window, and I thot it stated HID's in the Laramie options section....but it says Bi-Function Halogen Projector headlamps..so I dont think these are HID...but they are plenty bright for me...I just adjusted them and they look fine....I don't...
My 2 month old EcoD Laramie went into the ETC code mode when I tried to install the AFE SCorcher tune...the truck tossed the CEL with a z bolt and check engine message, and the truck would only turn over....I took it off ..the truck started but ran in limp mode and the CEL warnings did not...
It rides like a 4 wheel drive should...firm but much more stable...no body rock n roll like before...I like handling..if i hadnt put such big tires on it probably wouldnt have done the shocks...but was looking for off road clearance and i got it....shocks was the only adder on top of 2-1/2 lift...
off topic kinda..and maybe for a sep post elsewhere..but fyi...I stopped at Strictly Diesel during lunch..(2 blks from my office..how handy)..passed by it a 1000 times on my way to work..never gave it a nod...but..helpful folks..disty for AFE Intakes...he liked the Scorcher idea for a newbie...
Thanks for the likes...Yep..wanted the Bilsteins...got a better deal on PCRs from the dealer installed..good shock...very pleased...ride height handling is perfect...now a tune....intake maybe.. not sold on the intake yet...have to be a closed unit here in Az..not confident gains are substantial...
Got the stock shocks off and felt right way much better control and feel for the large 285 K02's, less mush in the turns and better overall feel and handling,..so with the 2-1/2 inch front and 1 inch rear lift she sits just about right for this owner..mileage has dropped 2-3 mpg to low 20,s in...
I hunt ..fish...shoot competitions that take us to some rough places...when I got my Z71 Avalanche back in 2003 (w/out "robo armor"..really geez) anyway it had wrangler ATs on it which were nice..but at 35000...I flipped them to the BFG AT Ko..and never looked back for 19000 miles...same with my...
Thanks for that...may be a good entry level option for me...may not be as all inlcusive as the GDE..but not ready to crack with $1400 after all I have spent on this truck..
I am looking at this too..i could be wrong..but dont think it messed with or resets the ECM...if a dealer recall comes up you can flip the switch to "stock" config ..or just unplug it...handy
I geekin out on all this...although I don't know (yet) what "CCV mod" or "CEL" or "SCR delete" means..but I appreciate the extra dialogue and patience for the newbie...I am a sales engineer for in the Aero-Space/ Military/Transportation industries and I am a few days into understanding what it...
Hmm...I have not seen this regen message, or missed it somehow...with only 4000 miles on the truck should I be looking into something already...like cleaning a filter or something?
