I watched a u tube video of some guy who installed them in his driveway. Doesn't look to complicated. At least he made it look easy.
If you have a torque wrench sae and metric sockets you should be almost set. Just rent the spring compressor tool from your local part store.
I'll see if I can...
I know. I was just trying to be funny. I used to drive a sprinter and Isuzu cube truck for work. I don't remember exactly how much def I used. Mostly because it wasn't me paying for it. But I don't remember it being as extreme as that.
One cool or irritating feature depending on how you look at...
I'm glad you shared that. When one spends as much time as I do on the net. You read so many issues and peoples OPINIONS about things that were done wrong on this engine. One starts to wonder if one made a good decision.
I've always tried to hold the view point that most will only post to...
Mine would be the cap I just had installed. Has some issues with paint. But will get straightened out eventually.
I am really interested in the 5100 leveling shocks! Might be next?
so one of my passions in life (other then kick ass trucks) is sound reproduction. My never ending quest for a perfect system started at a young age. Listening to my dads Klipsch/McIntosh home system is what got it all started.
I've gone through all the stages. Loud for the sake of loudness...
Hey boostN, do you do anything special with your truck? I've heard it's not so good to let'em sit. Do you take it out for drives to make sure it's driven? Or is that more of an urban legend type thing?
Good advice! I'm going to do that. Thank you!
I don't think 225 is damaging anything. At least not in the time I've had it. But I could be wrong. I'm far from an expert.
Thanks, man. Yeah your very close, a tick over 1800 after taxes and install. Believe me I was completely shell shocked! Pun intended. Lol. At the price. I'm with you as far as new caps and new trucks. I have always went with tonnues in the past. Mostly because I knew caps were up there in price...
I also think it may be a faulty sensor. My oil temp hovers a little under 200 and my water temp usually right at 200. Could it be the trams temp sensor is reading a little hotter then it actually is?
Thanks for the reply! This truck is only two months old with about 3200 miles so, that last thing I want to do is void my warranty by adding anything.
Is 225 a "normal" operating temp for this transmission or is this something I should have my dealer look at?
It always seemed a bit hot to...
So I watched the video about regen. One thing I noticed is that his transmission temp is right around 200 even pulling a trailer. My tranny temp goes to 225 unloaded. It has always been at 225 from day one. Even pulling my boat.
What are you guys seeing for temps? Both loaded and unloaded. Do...
I have a little under 3500 miles and it's at a little more then a quarter tank used.
My daily commute is about 40 miles one way. 40% freeway (70mph) 40% local highway (50 - 60mph)
And 20% stop and go city.
I think your usage will very on your driving style and patterns. I typically drive...
This type of thing happens more then you might think. I looked at a 14 Ram longhorn and they wouldn't move at all either.
When shopping for my wife's car one of the salesmen we talked to wouldn't even look at her. He kept talking to me. Even after explaining very clearly this is for her and her...
