Another question is. Can we run JP4 jet fuel?
Isn't this a very high grade of #2? I'm not sure where one would ever get this. It's more of a question from curiosity more so then to know if I can use it.
I was always under the impression that
#2 diesel = highway use
Heating oil = #2 with red die added and no lubricants.
Both are cut with kerosene for winter blends to help prevent gelling.
Some people would just add the lubricants to heating oil. Some would just run it the way it was...
I would only want it removed if it was going to cost me a lot to repair it. As long as it's working. I'll do my part and keep the pee tank full.
It is a moot point for me though. To many emission inspection here in southeast Wisconsin.
You are correct. The 4.5 was all GM. I was referring to the big diesel. By oem I meant it was there motor. They licensed the building of it to GM. Isuzu actually never built any of them. Unlike the Allison transmission witch I believe was built by Allison then delivered to GM.
Isuzu and GM...
You know the saying if it's to good to be true....it is.
I had visions of a 250 gallon tank next to my garage with a home made pumping system!!
I know back in the day guys would run this stuff in there trucks. But that was a long time ago. Not all the sensors and certainly no emissions...
I know Toyota isn't official yet but according to some insiders that work closely with Mike Sweers (think that's his name) it's a done deal.
Toyota owns Hino. A very large diesel manufacturer so it's possible they could still use the 4.5 liter Hino diesel in the euro market Land cruiser. I've...
Wow. You really know your diesel! So if I find a biodiesel b20. I should check for clearness. Ok. I can handle that. But let me ask you about heating oil.
I'm an hvac tech and come across hundreds of gallons of heating oil that usually just gets burned up before the owner switches to LP or...
I see. So what is a lone star? As far as features and where in the line up? I'm just curious. As I said I was under the impression it was a big horn for the Texas market. Obviously not though.....
I went with Rihno Liner. It was what the Truck outfitters by me uses. IMO. As long as it's a pro product installed by someone who will stand behind it. You'll be happy.
Nice! Someone else using this truck for work. We seem to have a broad range. Daily drivers to weekend warriors to work trucks.
Should be interesting as the miles rack up just how tough this diesel is.
We're all pulling for you......pun intended:D.
So do they make you park in the back out of sight?...lol.
I'm sure Cummins will continue to do just fine. Heck they may have lost the Ram light duty truck but picked up Nissan and Toyota. Those two combined might come close to the sales numbers of the Ram 1500.?.
By the way. I really like that...
Thought I'd bring this thread back. What's the price difference? I haven't found any here in Wisconsin but haven't really been looking that hard.
Is b20 closer to Euro spec diesel?
GM. Really could be Ram today if they didn't run out of money. Isuzu is the oem for the duramax diesel (I'm not sure many even know this). Isuzu is largest manufacturer of diesels in the world. As most duramax owners will tell you. That is one durable diesel! Had Chevy had the recourses to...
It all depends. If your truck bed locks with the key fob then yes it's pre wired for the factory back up camera. You need three parts to install it. Plus a trip to the dealer to "flash" the computer so it knows the camera is there. I'll post the part numbers in just a little bit.
Ok here they...
I would only go for the DEF. The Tri Par station by me has diesel much cheaper then that truck stop.
But your probly right. As long as I don't take up the pump for to long why would they care.
We are moving into our new house in the middle of next month so I'll have to find a new station and...
So do you lease instead of buy? I have a buddy that's into f body cars (mustangs and camaros). He's leased for many years now. It fits him perfectly. He just considers car payments part of his normal bill. Like a utility. He's usually itching to buy the next model about a year after he takes...
