From a few feet away it looks great!
Really happy with the overall appearance. I think the next upgrade is going to be a set of 5100's to level out the front.
Thanks guys. It's good to hear a little support. I don't want to make anyone's life more difficault by being "that guy". But at the price of these caps they really should be spotless.
The three lines in the paint are what really made it unacceptable to me. If it wasn't for that, I would have...
just got home from Truck Outfitters. They installed a new Leer cap. I had been waiting for three weeks for this. For the most part I think it looks great.
Unfortunately there are a few issues. The paint job isn't all the great. It looks like the paint had water in it. There a a few bumps here...
I don't think the air ride adds or takes away anything from the rating.
A lot of heavy duty trucks have air bags in the rear for leveling the truck with heavy loads/trailers.
I've been looking at the bilstien 5100. You can buy just front ones for leveling or they make a set for the rear to give you another inch in back as well. I'm not 100% sure if they would work for air ride?
Your not alone in regards to the lag. I just think if some experience it and others don't. Maybe it's a simple update?
I'm in southeast Wisconsin. Why don't you shoot me a private message with price and details.?.
Thanks!
I have no doubt this truck has some very expensive systems. But I have faith this is well engineered truck. There is a member here with over 110k miles on his and counting! Plus the very expensive parts are covered up to 100k or 5 years. I think that's enough time to know if you got a problem...
Hemi = FAST!
Fast = Tickets
Ecodiesel = fast enough
Fast enough = no tickets:D
Someone correct me if I'm wrong as I've never owned a Hemi but, I've heard in order to get close to EPA ratings with the 5.7 one has to be very frugal with the go pedal.
The ecodiesel you just drive. Some even...
Very nice intro!!!
As far as the lag. I tell everyone that if it's still around after a couple thousand miles take it in. My truck had lag really bad until about 1200 miles. Now it only happens until the truck gets warm. After that it's non existent. But maybe it's how I drive (very slow).
My...
I applaud both of you! For helping get us just a little closer to being free from the jail of big oil. Also for giving a $h!t about polution!
I'm as guilty as anyone for ignoring the problem. It's going to take a lot more people like you but, at least we are heading in the right direction.
