Your 1180 lb payload capacity includes 300lbs of passengers and full fluids. If your going to have more than that move it to your trailer if possible. Ive had as much as 1400lbs on the ball of my truck (bumper pull) which I wouldn’t recommend but it worked fine. The factory air ride well handle...
With factory air ride you dont have coils just air bags so no need to upgrade the suspension. Looks like all your numbers are lined up well and it should tow great.
Yes it fits the ecodiesel Etrailer has confirmed that. Im going to advise being careful with the idea of towing a fifth wheel with a half ton. Fifth Wheels typically have a tongue weight of 20-25% so it would be very easy to overload your truck. Air bags or stronger rear coils would be needed as...
The trucks have a combination fuel filter/water separator. The jeeps uses two smaller filters to due the same thing. Afe makes an auxiliary lift pump fuel filter setup that works with our stock lift pump and filter setup.
First time diesel owner? The truck well down shift to attempt and control its speed while going downhill. But a diesel engine without compression or exhaust braking well do little to hold itself back. There is aftermarket ecm tunes that close the vanes is the turbo to create back pressure thus...
That’s horrible! Im fully aware of how hard they are to clean buts no where near clean. They need to do more flushing then replace the reservoir completely.
The P04DB code means your truck has excessive crankcase pressure. One thing that can and well cause it is water in the oil. When the engine warms up the water turns to steam and causes excess pressure. A simple hot plate test would confirm if your oil has water in it.
Not trying to be negative but I would talk with the dealership owner about a buy back or trading it off. Something is wrong here and it maybe your driving conditions or style. But it's likely just something thats weird and getting overlooked. Hopefully Ram well come through and fix this for you.
New oil cooler, coolant expansion reservoir, and lots of flushing. Personally I would recommend switching to an aftermarket oil cooler setup that cools the oil with air instead of coolant. Like the kit from D&J or cft performance.
The tsb just changed programming of your ecm. It wont directly cause your overheating issues. It's possible that your egr cooler failed which can cause idle and under throttle issues. It can also cause excessive pressure on your cooling system.
What does your coolant expansion tank look like...
First step is figuring out what the cel was an inexpensive obd2 code reader is a really good investment. Or a good monitor like a Banks Idash or Edge cts2 well read and clear codes.
Hi guys I have a used gde tuned ecm. It was on my truck for 20000 issue free miles. It has offroad and turbo braking options. Gde also tweaked it to allow removal of my active grill shutters and my egr cooler. Only selling because I decided to take the truck a different route. Asking $800 shipped
